Chapter 2: Summon The Lust Demon
"I summon you from hell, Demon!"
The furnitures in Roxana's room suddenly shook. The vase fell off the table, the chair overturned, and the entire window in Roxana's room seemed to vibrate to the point where she thought it would crack.
The room's candles and fireplace died simultaneously, instantly enveloping the room in absolute darkness.
Roxana gulped down her saliva and clenched her hands tightly. A chill crept up behind her back, making Roxana shiver.
"I'm calling you from hell, Demon!" Roxana exclaimed once more.
Brak!
The window in Roxana's bedroom suddenly opened by itself, bringing a strong gust of wind that felt cold.
The gust of wind blew away Roxana's white hair along with her nightgown. Roxana had to cover her face with her arms because she couldn't stand the cold temperature that kept hitting her face.
TAP TAP TAP.
Roxana heard the sound of footsteps approaching her. The steps were not in a hurry; instead, they tended to be slow, as if they wanted to make Roxana fall into a tense situation.
She held her breath for a moment. Roxana was sure that the door to her room was locked tightly so that other people could not enter carelessly.
So, where did the footsteps come from?
Roxana slowly opened her eyes while bowing her head. Her eyes immediately widened when she saw a pair of feet standing right before her.
From the shape of the shoes, Roxana could tell that it was a man's feet.
Roxana's heart was beating so fast that she could hear the sound of her own heartbeat.
Was the man before her really a demon from hell?
"How dare you, a lowly human, summon an honorable demon like me?"
That low voice sounded so cold and filled with high arrogance. Roxana even felt that the man before her only viewed her as a worthless pebble.
Roxana clenched her hands into fists before finally having the courage to raise her head. Roxana could not move her body in a split second after facing a pair of piercing red eyes.
Those eyes emitted light amongst the darkness; looking right at Roxana's face that was pale from bleeding too much.
The man before her was indeed a demon.
Roxana was very sure of that because the aura emitted by the man was enormous and could make Roxana, a human, find it difficult to breathe.
"Why did you summon me, human?"
Although Roxana could not see the demon's face clearly, she was sure that the demon was smiling at her, the kind of smile that he showed to degrade the other person.
"You better speak before I kill you because you summon me for nothing."
Roxana clenched her hands into fists, then summoned all her courage to part her lips. "I want to bind a contract with you."
The demon before her suddenly laughed out loud as if he was making fun of Roxana. "You're just a lowly human, but how dare you want to bind a contract with me."
The demon brought his face closer to Roxana, making Roxana hold her breath as she opened her eyes wide.
The demon no longer laughed or even showed a mischievous smile. The demon's face seemed covered by a dark mist in Roxana's eyes, so she could only stare at the demon's piercing red eyes.
"Do you know who I am, human?"
Roxana gulped and answered firmly. "You are the demon from hell."
"No. I am not just a demon from hell." The intonation of the demon's voice sounded as cold as a frozen lake. "I am the third prince of hell, the demon who becomes the epitome of lust."
Roxana widened her eyes. She did not expect herself to be able to summon the third prince of hell level before her.
When Roxana was looking for information on demon summoning, people always said it was rare for someone to summon a high-ranking demon because the grudges in people's hearts were often not strong enough to summon stronger demons.
However, Roxana managed to summon a high-ranking demon, and he even claimed to be the third prince of hell.
Based on the book Roxana had read, the demon before her was known as Asmodeus, symbolizing the sin of human lust.
Although he was known as Asmodeus, the demon actually had many different names and nicknames, so people decided to call him the Third Prince of Hell.
"How could I possibly summon a demon like you?" Roxana asked herself, but her voice could still be heard in the demon's ears.
"I should be the one asking that." The demon bent his back until Roxana's and his face came closer. "What is so special about you that you can summon a prince of hell?"
Roxana clenched her fists tightly and exhaled slowly for a few moments. She tried to calm herself before the demon, even though her chest felt tight from being pressed by the demon prince's aura.
"I'm not special at all."
Roxana had a pitiful smile on her face when she said that sentence. In reality, she did not have anything special. Hence, her father tried to match Roxana with the Grand Wizard so that she would be more respected among the nobility.
For centuries, the Oberon Family has been one of the most respected noble families because every Oberon descendant has always been endowed with sacred fire magic.
Aside from the difficulty of finding wizards who used fire magic, the Oberon Family's magic was also extremely powerful and was known to be unable to be extinguished by holy water.
However, unlike the other members of her family, Roxana did not have that much fire magic.
On a scale of one to ten, Roxana's fire magic was one. That caused her to automatically rank the lowest in her family.
"I know demons are only attracted to human grudges, so even though I don't have any specialties, as long as the grudge in my heart is huge, I should be able to summon a powerful demon from hell."
Roxana said with confidence. "Among the humans who have performed demon summoning, I can confirm that my grudge is far greater than all of them."
Roxana had already lived five miserable lives, and during that time, the grudge in her heart had accumulated so high that it could exceed the height of a mountain.
The hatred in her heart was more burning than the Oberon Family's fire and more immortal than the age of the gods.
Roxana didn't want to accept forgiveness from those who had hurt her in past lives, but she wanted to make them suffer until death.
"I want to make a contract with you because you are the only being in this world capable of wreaking havoc on humans."
Roxana's intonation sounded so cold as she said that sentence. Her blue eyes looked straight at the demon. From those eyes, the demon could see that there was a burning anger behind her glittering eyes.
"You are an interesting human." The demon pulled up the corners of his lips until a broad smile was imprinted on his face. "Tell me your wish, and I will grant it if interested."
Roxana said solemnly. "Be my strongest weapon and shield so I can take my revenge on those who made me suffer."
"Once my revenge is avenged, I want you to kill me in a painless manner."
Roxana felt so exhausted after living five painful lives, so the only thing she had ever wanted was to die peacefully after she had gotten her revenge.
"You really are a very interesting human!" the demon laughed loudly, his voice booming in the room like an echo.
"I think you'll be able to entertain my boredom." The demon said firmly. "Let's bind a contract."
Roxana opened her eyes widely, her heart beating rapidly and her hands unable to stop trembling as she did not expect the demon before her to agree to her request.
"However, you can't bind a contract for free," warned the demon.
"I know." Roxana asked, "What do you want from me as your payment?"
The demon smiled wryly, "What can you give me?"
"Everything."
The demon asked, "Everything?"
Roxana, "Yes, I can give you everything. My body and soul will be yours if you can avenge me."
The demon then lifted Roxana's chin so that he could look into those piercing blue eyes. "Including feeding my lust with your body?"
