Chapter 3: Mana and my first night in this world
when we reached the slums it was already dark, I first took the kid to his home or if it could even be called that, as it was just sheets thrown on top of some planks
[no wonder you did not want me to sleep here, we'll I guess I will sleep in that tree there, I will see you in the morning]
I said as I pointed at a tree next to his house
errand just nodded and went into his house, after he went in I started to look around the place and to sum up the slums in one word it would be shit.
all the houses were a mess there was a horrible smell of piss and shit, everyone here looked dead and or just plain out drunk, Jesus it was horrible but hey who am I to complain I just got here and I don't have a house, after looking around I went somewhere clean and sat down, closed my eyes and started to focus on anything around me trying to sense the mana around, after what felt like a minute I started to see sand-like lights floating around and as I focused on a them I felt a deep attraction to the red lights after I started to feel them around me the red lights started to move towards me like I was a magnet, when the first red light entered my body I felt a nice warmth for a second and yernd for more as I was freezing out here at night, like hell I was going to sleep on the tree with this temperature, I might have cought a cold, back to the Mana gathering, as I called it, the process of the Mana entering me was slow as I started to get impatient I felt a place with more red Mana then here, I tried to locate it and it turns out to be a bit farther than 5 meters, after finding where it was i opened my eyes and started to go to it, after I saw what it was that was giving off the fire Mana, I guessed it right as the red Mana was indeed coming from a bon fire, I checked to see if there was anyone, after making sure there wasn't anyone there I started to walk to it and sat down next to the fire, after getting in to position I started to absorb the Mana from it, after one hour I opened my eyes as the Mana coming off the fire was gone and when I did, I was shocked to see that the fire was out as there was still some wood left to burn but I just thought of it as absorbing more Mana than it could handel, after that I started to see if I could find the Mana that I absorbed, after focusing on my body I found that there was a little red ball right in the middle of my chest but it was not pure red there was a lot of black spots on it, I started to see if I could get it to move around and it worked I was able to move it a bit, after continuously trying to move more of the red ball of Mana I was able to get it to flow thru my body at a constant pace after much work that took 2 hours, than I tried to see if I could get it to work
passively as I could feel my body getting warmer when the fire Mana flowed thru me, after multiple attempts and lots of failures I was able to get the Mana to flow thru without me needing to force it which took 3 hours and 37 minutes I think, after that i opened my eyes and stood up ready to fall asleep as it was mentaly consuming to do all that, after getting to the tree and getting on a branch close to the ground I looked up to the stars and asked my self
[was this all dream, and if I sleep now will I wake up, I don't want that let me stay here, I could have the time of my life here instead of a plain and boring life, please if this is a dream I hope I never wake up]
after that, I closed my eyes and slept my first night in this world.
