Chapter 5: Silver dragon(2)
This unexpected image had caused her expressionless face to crack in an instant.
Even though her laughter sounded very pleasant, like a thousand little bells that were rinkeling in harmony, it made the dragon feel like that woman was looking down on him so it yelled out: "You human dare look down on me?! I as a dragon should be revered by all. Bow before me this instant!" Before the dragon could continue to throw a fit, it was interrupted by the woman that had grabbed it's tail.
It stared in horror at the tiny girl who had looked so innocent and powerless before.
"You dare tell me to bow?"
The girl looked at it with a razorsharp gaze that made it's body feel like it had been dumped in ice water.
"I just realized that I'm hungry as hell, so thank you for appearing before me."
A wicked smile made that tiny disfigured face look terrifying.
"Wait, don't! I'm a powerless infant right now but I will quickly grow in power. I'll form a contract with you if you spare me."
It didn't want to form a contract but everything was better than dying.
A satisfied glint flashed through Luna's eyes.
Even though the previous Luna was a good-for-nothing, she had read a lot of books in the time other's would be cultivating.
Because of the memory transfer, all that knowledge was now also known by her, so she knew of the rare cases where cultivators had formed a contract with a spiritual beast which would benefit them both.
Often the cultivation of those cultivators went faster because the connection between them would attract spiritual energy which is what cultivation is based on.
She also knew that infant dragons were practically powerless but that they would gain strength at an exponential rate as they grew older and that dragons where the most powerful spiritual beast species in this world.
That's why she wanted to trick the dragon into a contract.
When the dragon felt the mood of the girl before it shift from a murderous to a happy one, he had an eerie feeling that something was wrong but he couldn't put a finger on it.
They shortly introduced themselves and that's when Luna found out that the dragon was called Drako and he was looked down on and kicked out because his strength grew to slowly.
While looking in his downcast eyes that tried hard to hide his sadness, she felt a little heartache for him so she said to him: "Right now we both are powerless but let's get strong together and show everyone who belittled us what we are made of."
He didn't know why but when this little devil girl said those words it felt motivated to work hard and a warm feeling started to spread in his little body.
The forming of a contract was simple and was done quickly.
You just had to declare that you wanted to form a contract and you had to drink a drop of each others blood. The most important thing was that both parties had to be willing.
