Chapter 1: CHAPTER ONE
1am, the environment had gone exceptionally calm. Airport activities had seemingly slowed down to sangfroid. Suddenly, a loud sound that devoured the momentary calm came from a state-of-the-art aircraft, grey in color, gigantic in size yet portable and fashionable. The craft roared in response to it's pilot's expert operation of it's jet propelled powerful engine. As expected, the entire Craft's system slowly and then brightly illuminated the dark laden night. With the airplane fully charged and ready to move, it jerked forth racing at great speed along the well fashioned run-way. Tearing through shifting blankets of air in motion, it's great speed achieved the desired upthrust. Conquering the ever stronghold of the Earth's gravity, at least for a while, the manned bird lifted up, flying in predetermined course into the seemingly endless sky.
Aboard the unnatural bird were about 180 passengers and crew members sitting in unique rows and columns with few fast asleep in flatly adjusted seats. Everyone on board had nice treats from elegant air hostesses moving back and forth with their charming smiles and robust care. They added colour and satisfaction to the already existing ambience of the aircraft's superb interior decoration. Right inside the cockpit, the pilot and his crew attired in dark suits were gallantly seated. Expert touching, punching and pressing of relevant buttons and precise maneuvers were to ensure smooth flight and safe landing of the man made bird.
It was an eleven hours, turbulence free flight from Heathrow Airport, London to Murtula Mohammed Airport in Lagos, Nigeria. Immediately it came to a halt, the pilot's punch of the right buttons among an array of buttons under his control, released from it's bowels. Passengers wore smiles as they disembarked from the aircraft.
