Chapter 21: Intrigue and Suspicion

Mr. Grant engaged in a conversation with someone in the hallway while on the call.

Mr. Grant: "I'm prepared to provide whatever funds are necessary for the investigation. We must ensure nothing happens to Mr. Johnson. And as for that bas***d Mr. V, find him, no matter what."

"Sophie heard her father's furious shouts and rushed to the hallway."

Sophie: "What happened, Dad?"

Mr. Grant: "It's been three days, and no one has been able to locate Mr. V. I'm worried about Mr. Johnson".

He sounded furious, his breath ragged as he spoke.

Brenda swiftly retrieved a glass of water, extending it toward him.

As he took a sip of water, his determination solidified.

"I'm hiring the finest private detective agency in the USA to track down that elusive bastard."

He declared, his voice unwavering.

"Dad, the police are doing their job, why are you getting so agitated? It's not good for your health."

Brenda sounded concerned.
