Chapter 219: QUESTIONS - PART 1

The only sound in the bedchamber was the water cascading into the pool from the natural waterfall. Faye slowly opened her eyes, trying to focus them. She stretched her hand to Sterling's side of the bed to find the sheets were cold, and he was missing.

Lazily sitting up from the bed, she yawned and stretched her arms over her head. She was surprised her body did not ache after all the lovemaking from the day before.

Faye pulled back the sheet, and her pale flesh looked perfect. Not a single mark or blemish was left where he had ravaged her with his mouth.

After a few minutes, she felt the urge to relieve herself and wandered to the bathroom.

When she returned to the room, she found Sterling was already dressed for the day. He was seated behind his desk, drinking a cup of tea, steam billowing from its surface.

On the tea table, next to him, were fresh fruits and Faye's favorite morning cup of Earl Grey tea.
