Chapter 3: He has a girlfriend
Time flew by so fast and I have already spent one week in Celebs Academy and I am starting a fresh new week. I managed to make new friends. I apologized to Rebecca for being so mean to her but turns out she wasn't mad at me at all. Crazy,right?
I made a friend called Jessie, she is a bit of a gossip. She gives us first hand information and you can count on her to spy on people for you. She is a good dancer. The girl is so good at ballet, hip hop, Salsa dance and any dance you can think of.
Right now, Gaby,Jessie, Rebecca and I were at the cafeteria. We were discussing the performance by Little Miss Pink Diva on Tuesday. I was not interested in attending that thing but because the girls are going, I decided to go too.
The bell was rang and we all scattered to our various classes. The whole school was covered with stickers of Little Miss Pink. She is really serious about this performance isn't she?
The day ended quickly and a new day is born. Fresh day,fresh events and of course new opportunities. Today I am going to meet David's band. He wanted to introduce me to them. We did have a little sing along, he played the guitar and I played the piano and sang, Stuck with you by Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. We really sang amazingly I was completely filled in the moment. It felt like a cover video I was filming to be posted on Youtube for people to connect with us. I can't fully describe it in words.
I am so excited to meet the band. I know they would be really great and welcoming like David.
The bell was rang for break and I went to the music room to meet his band mates since that's where we basically get along. When I got there two boys were there along with a girl. A girl with curly long hair, her eyes were big with eyeliner which made her look pretty. Her skin was fair and smooth as flawless as those people that are used to advertise skin products, she had really thick calves which looked good in the jeans she was wearing. She looks like a magazine cover model. She is everything any girl will be insecure about.
I looked at them awkwardly, not knowing what to say or do so I just watched them and they didn't seem to realize my presence.
David came in and I was relieved to see him. He walked towards the girl and kissed her. I didn't know l why but I felt like a needle pierced through my heart, just watching him smile at her in that way made me feel like I was drowning. Then he said,'This is Sandra, my girlfriend. Then they smiled at each other. Those words hurt more than stepping on a lego block. I could feel my heart split in two. Why am I feeling this? I fake smiled at them and replied,'I am Maria. I saw them smile at each other and my throat felt numb. 'That's Sam,he is the band's bass player',he said pointing at a curly haired boy,he looked exactly like Sandra, I wonder if they could be siblings. 'Thats Zack our drummer',he said also point at him. I smiled at them and responded,'nice to meet you all'. I am the lead guitarist and lead singer, David said putting his arm on Sandra's shoulder and I could feel my heart crack like an apple cut in two. I had to get out of there. 'I have to go somewhere so bye' and I rushed out of the room.
I tried to calmed my heart which was beating faster than an eye blink. I took in as much air as I could because the pain was undescrible. I can't go to class today, my mind would be all over the place and I won't be able to pay attention. What is this? How could he have a girlfriend and I didn't know about it? Well, the girl looks like a model, any guy who dated her will be lucky but I don't why I feel so hurt? Why did my heart ache so bad? Why I couldn't bear seeing them together?
I went to the school auditorium. I thought it would be empty but it was quite packed as preparations for Tuesday's event was ongoing. I thought it was just Little Miss Pink's performance but it looks way bigger than that and my girl pals didn't mention anything about a grand performance other than Little Miss Pink's performance. What is going on?
I asked one person and he explained that it's a musical performance by people in music class and not just Mandy, I just found out her name is Mandy.
For what reason is the school hyping her performance over others. That's not fair. I almost thought it was only her performance only. This is so unfair,why would they do this? They must hype it for everyone and not just Mandy.
I left the auditorium and went to the library, hopefully that place would be quiet and calm for me to process my thoughts because right now I feel lost. I have a lot of questions to ask myself because I had to clear my head. They are dating, that doesn't have anything to do with me and we were friends all along.
I got to the library and it was empty and quiet how I wanted it to be but then I saw the Librarian walk towards me,'What are you doing here? You should be in class by now',she said. 'I am here to read a book', I responded but she told me,'No, if you wanted to read a book then you should have been here during break now break is over, now get to class before I send you to the principal's office.
I left the library quickly because I don't think any argument will be beneficial. I went to the entrance of the school building and I took in a deep breath, the memory of them kissing sent chills down my spine. The air blew the scattered hair on my face as sunlight was shining on my face allowing it to calm my nerves. I said to myself,' Forget it, Maria, you were friends and only friends, You must not be feel this way'.
