Chapter 91: Phil & Edward II

"Ethan!" Edward's eyes lit up but then he was suddenly awkward. "Uh, I meant Morpheus. Or is it… Never mind, how've you been?" He walked toward the youth to shake his hand in a cheerful mood.

Morpheus shook Edward's hand and sincerely said, "Thank you for your assistance that night."

Edward's help had come to him at a very crucial point. On the night of Halloween, the most formidable adversary he faced was the sniper, Elijah. And if it wasn't for Edward guiding him in finding the sniper, things could have gotten worse for Morpheus.

Hence he was genuinely grateful.

"Ah, don't worry about it." Edward waved his hand nonchalantly. He then patted the youth's shoulder as if they were long-time friends. "Come, let's drink."

The pair then walked toward the bar where Phil was also sitting. The middle-aged detective got off the barstool and put his hand forward with a smile. "It's been a while, Morpheus."
