Chapter 460: Enjoying the night (2)

"Your father's residence appears to be vacant. The man I passed said it looked like the family here had packed up and left," Reed informed Edgar. "Should we find him for you?"

"No, we depart," Edgar replied. 

Edgar leaned back in his seat.

For once, his father had listened to him.

"Good for Edmund. You shouldn't kill one of the wise men of the kingdom. There are so few around."

Edgar frowned. He tried not to acknowledge the man who ran and got inside his carriage. Only his children were to be the ones so eager to see him.

"You haven't looked at me since I got in the carriage and sat down. Just because you don't look at me doesn't mean I am not here, Edgar. Look at me," Tobias said, poking Edgar's cheek.

Edgar grabbed Tobias's hand and bent it, earning a squeaky noise exiting Tobias's mouth. "What are you doing here? You should be in the palace."
