Chapter 48: Familiar Figures

"They just don't stop coming."

I was getting tired, my body felt heavy and I was out of breath. The shadows consumed a lot of energy from me, but those things kept coming as if they knew I was about to lose my senses. I could even feel some blood coming out my mouth from the continuous effort and the sudden punches those things could land in my body, it really hurt.

How is this possible? Even with my high-speed recovery, I was still bleeding. Just what are these things.

A few minutes ago, I had felt the presence of some beings. They were fast and could hide pretty well in the shadows. I thought they were illusions at first, with the form of humans, but my hypothesis proved to be wrong.
