The Entity in my head is Overpowered

"Hey, what would you do if an apocalypse were to suddenly happen?" Antoine asked.

Such a harmless question, a question we didn't know would affect our lives. What exactly would you do if an apocalypse were to suddenly happen?

"Oh you are referring to the movie we watched at Bella's right?" Javier asked excitedly, they began sharing ideas on how they'd stock up on food and secure their houses.


"Did any of you stop to think what caused the apocalypse?" Melanie asked and they all looked at her "You are talking about stocking up on food, ammunitions, protecting yourselves and all that but what are you protecting yourselves from?" she added. "Is it a virus? Is it a bacteria? Is it a war? Is it Zombies? Is it an invasion?"

"Javier, you want to rob a store and load up on electronic gadgets, how long do you think the power will last after you've surrounded yourself with tv screens, laptops and games, do you plan on eating them too?" Luella asked, "Eira you want food, what if the origin of the apocalypse was gotten from a bacteria in the food supply, or the water we drink everyday? How will you defend against that? You want to barrackade yourselves at home, what if it's an airborne infection? Will you stop breathing? What if its evolutionary?"

As Luella spoke they all kept quiet till Isabella spoke up "Lance" she called out "Your nose is bleeding" she said, everyone looked to see Lance who was sitting among them bleeding from the nose.

"Are you oka-" Nour who wanted to ask suddenly paused when Lance's head exploded.

None of us thought we'd find ourselves in this condition, the day started normal, nothing out of the blue or strange happened.

"Lance!!!" Nour yelled, she could hear her heartbeat loudly as everyone around her panicked.

So why? Why? we asked ourselves, but the actual question we should have asked was HOW?

In the span of less than 24 hours the world we knew crumbled, i lost everything that day, i couldn't even attend my mother's funeral, but the funerals after were beyond wild.

I still ask myself from time to time, if i were to start again where would i want to be when it all started?
At home with family?
In church? Saying my last prayers...
In a restaurant eating my favourite meal before something bites my face off?
Or should i have joined Bella? Six feet under...
