Chapter 2: -1-

The Environment flushed in water giving nothing but a wet welcome, the grass fused in between drops. Gloomy welcomes itself as a gentle breeze only to be aggressive.  Wet streets and cars rush about as civilians make there ways towards family and friends. But today was more gloomy then ever before...Markings in the sky slowly trailing along the environment.

Rain falling effortlessly against the hospital roof as giant like roars were admitted. Colorless fragments at the end of each hall admitting silence...death. Doctors in the admissive Blue and white clothing only reminding us of pain and closure roam the halls. Most closure is temporary while most is painful and forever tragic. In the Dark can those fall in pain and ache but those who follow the light can truly see closure.

Footsteps echo the aching hall vigorously as the doctors slowly watch intimidated. Quicken the pace more doctor flourished out of harms way. Silent emotions build up as the gloomy day got darker. Entering a pale white room filled with sadness and burdens with so much to bare, lied a an old women struggling to survive, her figure pale as snow, her wrinkles providing nothing but old age. The woman coughs as her body held no strength not even the will to keep going, her every move was limited and full of guilt and pain.

"Mom" you spoke genuine and full of love. This woman was the one one who provided life and the air you breathed everyday. This moment was like glass shattering into a million distorted pieces. The dark place the feeling was held most was in this pale room with no color except the faint realization of death.

"H..honey" her words shaken and uneasy. Watching a small smile form from her weaken body provided warmth for a second as the rain roared against the stained glass. Her figure with such love held a place in your broken heart, nonetheless seeing your aching mother struggle in the agonizing hospital bed felt like a burden and an unforgettable sight to see.

I wish I could do something....

why must I see my mother in pain....

I don't deserve this...

She is slowly degrading in that state...

Just like father...

The events shift towards the darkness a little more as you approach your weak mother, Wrapping your arms around her cold body leaving a remarkable feeling of safety. Even though age has taken a toll and the precarious disease eating her alive she still managed to be the torch of your sadness, a dove in your gloom. With the day getting older and sadder your mother slowly trails her skinny pale fingers along your head caressing it. Her energy drained from treatments, her body flushed with toxics.

"How was your day?" she mumbled holding you tight.

"My day was fine"

The conversation deemed non-existent like it never happened. Harsh reality pulled you under as the tragic moments you share have limits. The passionate love and warmth was soon stripped away by a blonde lady dressed in death arrived leaving the atmosphere in cold desperation.

"Hello Mrs.Y/N" Her voice tone serious a she placed papers against the sink to the right of the bed.

"So I have some explaining to do about your mother's cancer treatments." she continued.

Please tell me she is in remission...

No bad news...

"Yes Ma'am and what that be?" you say feeling your throat go dry.  Fear and desperation of hope stride in as a small strip feeling the overwhelming tone in her voice.  News was never good in this unlighted situation, Your mother's life was slowly getting worse week by week, month by month until it landed her in the hospital getting injected with noxious fluids. Ever since the frightening moment she was diagnosed the world in your eyes became cruel and chaotic.

"Your Mother's Treatments are actually Providing unstable vitals as well as that we can tell she can't hold anymore doses...her body is simply not well."

The doctor spoke vulgar and dark as the news bubbled up to the service providing neither warmth or closure. Your eyes landed on your pale mother who smiled slowly caressing the arm that was shakening in obvious defeat.

No...

This can't be happening....

"I'll give you two some space."

Tears began to embrace the broken you as the world became harsher on the one you loved. The emotions were all staggered up on your body as the situation was to much to bare. The mother that cared for you and provided everything for you to thrive was dying and there was nothing on god's green earth that could save her. Realization settles in as this moment was what life had threw at your and how the world wanted to see a broken frail girl.

"Mom..your dying" you sobbed feeling nothing but an ache in your heart and an undeniable feeling.

"Shhh...I know and besides honey I've grown old and weary. Maybe it's time for me to see your father and explore the other side." Her words overflowing with emotion. Your mother understands the overwhelming feeling you are baring of  death slowly calling her name. The fact of life and death was a beautiful yet sad aspect. The rain slowly stopped as you moved away from your mother's embrace. Her eyes still filled with love and concern.

"Now go home..you mustn't worry about me"

How can I go home if your dying...

This feeling...

Fuck..

"Okay but I will be here tomorrow evening and you can't tell me otherwise." you exclaim wiping the remainder of your salty tears.

"Okay now go"

You took one last glance at your dying mother before giving her and bright smile. Even though the circumstances of your harsh reality you chose to push through and continue on.

What am I going to do...

A/N: Hehe I'm sorry for the sadness XD
