Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Fateful Encounter I
A van could be seen driving through the forest. It was a bisque coloured minivan and it seemed to ignore the signs that were placed in the forest as it drove uphill.
At the back seat, was a wavy long haired blonde, with green eyes and plump pink lips. Her name was Sloane. "That's the fifth 'NO TRESPASSING ' sign we've passed" she mumbled as she looked out the window and sighed before staring at the person resting on her shoulder "Scott.."
Earlier
Sloane sat alone in a cafeteria at the university, with a book in hand. She wore a checkered shirt, blue denim trousers and black sneakers while the light brown bag she came with, was hung on her seat.
Sloane was known as the antisocial type especially, since her parents died. However, she only ever spoke to one person, her best friend, Scott.

Sloane flipped another page before someone covered her eyes....
"Guess who?" The person asked
"Scott....I'm reading" she said and he removed his hands from her eyes before resting it on her shoulders
"So, what are you reading?" He asked and she smiled; she could feel his hands gently massaging her shoulders
"Can you NOT hold me like this in public?"
"What? Why?" He asked and she rolled her eyes
"Dude, you've got a girlfriend..... and.....I'm already being tagged as a boyfriend snatcher" she said "Because I'm your closest female friend"
"No, you're my closest friend" he stressed before bursting into laughter "But seriously.... Boyfriend snatcher? Are you serious?....[he laughs some more] Sloane Michelle..... A boyfriend snatcher?... Who came up with that? [he laughs some more] The antisocial beauty of our great university, is a boyfriend snatcher?" He added in between laughter before he gazed downwards and saw her frown and he instantly said "Sorry"
"Forget it. Just, forget it" she said as she shut her book "Tell me....what do you want?" She asked and he let go of her before walking to the seat opposite her and resting on it.
"Me and the others are going out on a camping trip" Scott said and she instantly knew which 'others' he was talking about. She had spoken to them a couple of times due to them being Scott's group members.
"And how does that involve me?" Sloane asked
"I want you to come along"
"Go ask your girl-"
"We broke up" he said before moving to sit opposite her "And before you ask 'why?'....I'll tell you. I fell in love with another girl" as soon as he said that, her mood went to ruins and she looked downcast
"Oh! Err...I-I-I see" she said as she made a mental note 'He fell in love with another girl.....not you, Sloane'
"Hey, stop feeling sorry for her.....we just weren't meant to be" he said and she rolled her eyes as she made another mental note 'Like he said, not meant to be. This isn't meant to be'
"So, you coming or not?" Scott asked
"Coming? To where?" She asked and Scott gave her a look and she nodded
"Are you sure you know what you just nodded to?" He asked
"The camping trip" she said confidently "I'll come with you guys on the camping trip. It's not a problem" she said and Scott got off his seat
"You're the best, Sloane" he said before running off happily.
When he was far enough, Sloane banged her head on the table
"I'm so stupid. After so many years of waiting....he fell in love with another girl" she said before groaning "I should have listened to Alexa about him and just stayed away. Damn it Scott, don't you know I like you?" She groaned again "I want to forget about these feelings.....that camping trip is filled with party animals. It's Scott's group after all so, who knows, it could be fun"
Present
"I can't believe why in God's name I came" she murmured as she saw herself passing the seventh 'NO TRESPASSING' sign and sighed before looking at Scott - who smiled and opened his eyes. Sloane's cheeks reddened as she stared at him; he had curly black hair and black eyes, and he was of average height and size. She looked away from him and faked a frown.
"You still complain a lot" he said as he sat up
"How long have you been awake?" She asked and he held his jaw
"I've been awake for a while. Hmm...I think...it was ever since you started counting the 'NO TRESPASSING' signs" he said before smirking and standing up "Hey guys, are we there yet?"
"Hell, yeah!!!" The three boys up front shouted
"Try to keep your voices down....our two remaining princesses are still sleeping" Scott said as he stared at the two other girls on the van.
All together, on the minivan were seven undergraduates; Scott, Theo; a guy with brown hair and green eyes, Elias; a guy with red hair and reddish - brown eyes and a muscular build, Bright; a blonde with blue eyes and an average build like Scott. Then Sloane, Lizzy; a black haired girl with brown eyes, and lastly, Megan; a girl with brown hair and blue eyes.
The two other girls, Lizzy and Megan slowly began to wake up due the van hitting a few rocks and at long last they sat up and watched as the van continued uphill until it reached an open space where it was parked. One by one, the others had begun to disembark the van however, Sloane stayed in her seat and didn't want to get off.
'Because of my stupidity, I completely forgot why I don't like camping' Sloane thought 'I should have just told Scott....I'm afraid of the woods'
"Sloane....aren't you coming?" She heard Scott ask
"Y-Yeah.....I'm com-coming" she answered nervously as she got off her seat and walked towards the door of the van. She stood there for a while before sighing and getting off.
As soon as she got off, Scott wrapped his arm around her shoulder "Trust me...you're gonna have fun" he said as he led her to the center of the campsite.

A pack of wolves were seen running through a different part of the forests. They were two times the size of regular wolves and their eyes glowed in a mesmerizing blue colour.
"Are we there yet?" One of them asked
"We're getting closer" another said "I can perceive the humans presence"
