Chapter 28: Destruction Intertwined With Chaos

It would make him stronger, which was his goal all the way. Light enveloped Heil Long as his body healed with speed visible to the naked eyes, scabs started to replace the wounds before falling down, replacing them with new skin. Hei Long was amazed at the power of gods and the system that he have. It didn't only bring him new power, it even gave him rewards for doing things. It was simply god-like. As loudly as possible, he screamed on top of his lungs, "Ahhhhhhhh!" After that, he fell down and looked at the ceiling of the cave. Everything that happened was really magical to him. If someone told him that this was a dream, he would really believe without a single doubt. However, right now, he's been in this for a couple of days already. "Oh right!" he said with a shock. "Lily!" He ran around the cave looking for the black giant egg. It was where Lily was. He needed to make sure that Lily was safe and sound. She was the only source of light and life in this lifeless and desolated place. He couldn't bear the thought of something happening to Lily while he was resting after the fight. 'Shit, how could I forget about her.' He blamed himself, and imagine the small little lady pouting because he forget about him. Although, he knew that Lily might not have been conscious all along. Finally, after running and looking for the black gigantic egg, he was able to find it. It was still where he left the egg with. It was far from where the fight ended, it was the result of the fight and due to the nature of dodging and running while fighting. "There you are, Lily." Hei Long released a sigh of relief, thanking the gods that nothing bad happened to the gigantic black egg. Well, he knew that it was very sturdy but Hei Long just to make sure that no ends will be left loose. After making sure that she's fine, he stayed started moving with his journey to find the exit. The journey started back from where it started. There were monsters but there were no pacts that he needed to fight. The last fight was really rare, even adventurers would agree that a single pack of 100 wolves of the underworld is really rare, it was only tales of some legends. A few minutes later, Hei Long was able to find the exit. The place where he was currently was a dungeon, he knew that it was something kind of magical in this world as Lily talked about it to him before going to deep slumber. "Hey," he said, "I found ourselves the exit. You said that you were tricked to come here, but you don't have worry any longer. You'll be able to get out of this hellhole." The gigantic black egg bore no reaction from his statement, but it didn't stop Hei Long from talking. "Are you excited to get outside of this cave, Lily?" He said. "I know you are. I don't think a delicate girl like should be here in the first place. So I will make sure that you are able to go outside and enjoy the freedom and light outside of this hellhole. I will protect you, so you don't have worry about getting home." Every step that he took made it heavier for Hei Long, he didn't want to admit it. But he kept on wishing that this place was no foreign land. He wished it was where the place where he was born. So every step that he took, made it really heavy. He was sweating bullets by the time he was one step away from the humongous metallic gate. "In for a penny, in for a pound!" He hissed. "Here goes nothing!" He pushed the door, and the door creaked. The bullet-like sweats were streaming down his back, and his stomach churned like it was about to throw something foreign out of his body. Hei Long wasn't feeling fine. The truth was that he wanted to explore the outside world, but he didn't want to accept the fact that he was in a very different world. Different from his own. The people, the culture, the dungeons, and the monsters pointed out and painted an absolute picture that he really was in a far-off place. This was no home. "I wonder if I'm able to see the kids again," he thought to himself. "I wonder how they faring in the house. I hope that the people I help will those kids as well." He prayed that the people that he left in his original world would be properly taken care of by the people he had helped from his journey. "I need to muster the courage to change," Hei Long said to himself. He was just one step away from getting outside of this hellhole but he was simply scared. Facing reality was harder than facing those whole pack of wolves of the underworld. "Please, gods, give me strength," he silently prayed. Before coming to this place and land, death didn't scare him that much since he was already prepared to face death when he was placed to get revenge for his family and friends who died at the hand of the ravaged. He trained all his whole life just to exact revenge on those who robbed him of his innocence, and humanity. He trade his very soul just to exact the revenge he had always dreamed of, but after killing the ravager he didn't feel a slight ounce of happiness. After achieving his goal, they were no more goals. The plan was that after killing the ravager, he'd be with his parents and his family, the Hei Clan. "Moved it!" he hissed as his feet barely moved. The deep seethed truth scared him than facing those ugly and disgusting monsters, who lived in this isolated, wretched hellhole of a place. His body simply refused to take that single step, he thought to move his foot, but his body didn't want to. It didn't want to lie. He was stuck in the chasm of the unknown. "If I don't move, monsters will come for me… for Lily." His internal struggle was hurting him mentally. The person who he really was would die once he go outside. For some unknown reason, a hand made out of shadow pushed him to take that step. "Who?" Hei Long shouted while looking back to see the person who pushed him out of the dungeon. It was Shadow. He was smiling when at him. Once he went outside of the cave, the door quickly closed and buried itself underneath the ground. He rushed back, but it was to no avail. The dungeon was already closed. The door was gone, and there was nothing he could do to retrieve Shadow from the dungeon. "Why did you leave me? I thought we'd be in this together, Shadow?" He cried, and scream at top of his lungs. His cries altered the people, and then guards went to Hei Long. They assessed to look at him as if they were looking at a monster. Hei Long did not know what he currently looked like. He was covered in the blood of the wolves of the underworld, and it has already hardened. He didn't mind it since it was a battle of survival inside the dungeon. However, for the people who were living outside of the dungeon, it was a different matter and thing. In their eyes, Hei Long looked like he was a beggar or that he was attacked by a beast of some kind. It was something that they want to believe, but there were no injuries on his body. It was just the blood that made him odd. His eyes, as well, were both of different colors, green and golden. "Speak your name boy?" One of the soldiers asked him. The knight didn't even bother asking why he was crying or shouting. "Hei Long," Hei Long tried to fight the tears from trickling down his face. "Origin?" "I don't know. I woke up inside a dungeon." "What do you mean you don't know?" the knight didn't believe him. Not a single bit. He tried to roughen him up but to no avail. Hei Long was stronger than he look. "I said I don't know. I woke up inside this fucking cave!" He shouted at the knight, at the time he was calm but now. It was different. He swear that if not it was something different he could have pulled the head of the knight out of his body due to the pain of separation from Shadow. But he got the best of his emotion, he was able to stop himself from becoming a beast due to his anger. 'He is not worth it,' Hei Long thought to himself. "Why are you covered in blood?" the knight asked with a tone that seemed condescending. The knight didn't really give importance to Hei Long. He believed that this person was just a hillbilly or even a savage that scavenge for food just to survive. He didn't like this type of people, if only if it weren't for the king's order to look for his daughter he would just have slain this scavenger for his attitude to his prestigious self, or so he thought. "I fought the beast inside the cave," Hei Long said. "Do you have anything else to do with that, Sir?" "Whose blood is that on your body, why are you covered by it?" "I woke up inside the cave, and I wanted to go outside of the hellhole. So I looked for a exit, by the time that I was closed to finding the exit I encountered a whole pack of wolves of the underworld." The knight didn't believe him and unsheathed his sword. "By the great gods, who do you think you are talking to? I'm one of the prestigious knight of the empire? Do you know that lying to a knight on duty is a capital offense?" The knight pointed the sword at him. Because of what happened he didn't really have the time to check the person was actually holding an egg. "Don't you dare point that thing to me, or you will regret it for the rest of your life!" He hissed at him as he emitted intense killing intent. It was the first time that he was able to do that. The knight shook as he felt Hei Long's killing intent, he thought, ' This killing intent! Only serial killers or A-class adventurer can emit this kind of killing intent.' He said, "Don't you dare. Do you know who you are talking to? I'm—" Hei Long punched him in his stomach sending him flying to the trees, the other knight around the area were able to hear such a sound and can feel the aura of killing intent. So they ran directly to the place, where they heard a loud boom. "What's the hell going on here? Who the fucking hell release those skills!" The captain shouted, asking everyone who knew what the heck was going on.
