Chapter 24: Confrontation - Ignitions - Comfy Cartel - Infiltration
The disciples of the Night of the Waning Gibbous planted several explosive charges against the Door of Recognition
They immediately jumped away after they armed it
After a few seconds, a big explosion occured that rocked the surrounding of the Core Academy
Even though the big explosion was loud, it was being muffled by the intense rain. Others might mistake it for a lightning strike or a roar of a thunder, but this kind of sound is distinguishable from a lightning ot thunder
Thus, everyone inside the Core Academy was alarmed. The professors, the Guardians, Comfy Cartel, and Aoyuki. The Cartel immediately moved as one unit and rushed towards the Grand Hall
The Guardians, however, went to places that needed protection. A few of them decided to intercept the guests, particularly Akayuki, Karina, and Knight
After the explosion and smoke dissipated due to the intense rain and wind, the Door of Recognition remain unscathed
"Sunstone..." Tanzanite muttered in the rain and as if Sunstone heard her, he replied
"On it!"
Sunstone jumped in front of the Door of Recognition and placed his fist together to his side
"Minimal Ignition!"
Sunstone shouted as the tip of his fist started to turn and shine red. He then extended his fist towards the Door of Recognition in front of him
His fist touched the Door of Recognition and a red glow was generated between the door and his fist. The glow started to dye the rain with a red color
The Door of Recognition started to glow as the area around Sunstone's fists started to turn white hot. Eventually, the area started to melt and molten material dripped and flowed down to the ground
Steam covered the area around the group as the intense rain hit the extremely hot molten material and Sunstone himself
Sunstone then opened his fist in an open palm to dig deeper into the door
"Tempered Cut!" Sunstone muttered as he flicked his left hand downward and his right hand upward

The trajectory of the motion started to travel within the door. Along the line of trajectory, the door started to melt and crack. The door was melted in half
Tanzanite then forcefully jumped forward and kicked the door. The force was transferred to the door and it was blown away inside of the Core Academy where the Grand Hall is located
The half parts of the door flew past several individuals that are standing towards their left and right
Tanzanite landed in the large hallway to the Grand Hall. Sunstone ran inside and stood beside Tanzanite. The disciple dashed and ran inside
Seeing that these uninvited guests had no plans to stop, a man with a large stature and glasses intercepted them
"Undefeated Fortress!"
A suffocating aura then filled the running disciples and they stopped on their tracks. They knew that they needed handle this group to get pass through them
Tanzanite then came forward after looking at Sunstone. She received a nod and clapped her hands together in front of her as she extended her arms
"Semi-Ignition!"
Tanzanite shouted as her hands started to turn dark violet and emit a purple smoke. Her hands looked shiny and had luster. Her pupils turned into a gemstone and a dark violet ribbon appeared around her forehead that extended around her sapphire blue ponytail that turned into dark violet hair. A circular dark violet crystal appeared on her forehead with smaller triangular crystal on the cardinal directions of the circular crystal
She then twisted her hands and arms around and pulled it apart. It's as if she was tearing the air in front of her. She then pulled her hands towards herself and closed it
"Luminescent Layer!"

A few moments later, the entirety of the Grand Hall became reflective and cut like a beautiful gemstone. The transformation crawled through the floor, the walls, the ceilings, and the pillars
It was like they were inside a room of mirrors. The difference is that the mirrors are tinted with dark violet and twinkling sounds can be heard through the surface
Don Scar was wary at the sudden change in the environment. He was confident though since Syk, the Embodiment of Good Luck, was the only one who cancelled the Undefeated Fortress. He was also on their side so he wouldn't worry too much
As the Door of Recognition was destroyed, the intense rain and wind came inside the large hallway to the Grand Hall. Water started to collect on the floor and strong winds flowed inside the Grand Hall
Don Scar smirked upon this sight
He bent his body downwards and extended his arms. The Night of the Waning Gibbous was confused upon seeing this but the members of the Cartel took several steps back
The collected water on the floor of the large hallway started to flow inside of the Grand Hall. The flowing water went towards Don Scar and flowed above his hand. The water was collected into a large ball above his head
"Water Manipulation?!" Tanzanite muttered to herself

"This will be over with just this..." Don Scar said as he bent his arms fluently towards in front of him, "Deep Sea Current"

> The ability to send a heavy pressure of condensed water that mimics the current of the water within the deepest parts of the seas. The water current has the potential to rend and shatter anything in its way

The collected water bursted through the large hallway which made the Night of the Waning Gibbous be pushed back due to the pressure
But before they could get pushed away, Sunstone stepped in front and placed his hands together as he extended his arms in front of him
"Partial Ignition!"
The tips of Sunstone's fingers became red with a brilliant luster. His pupils turned into a gemstone and a diamond-shaped red crystal appeared on his forehead
"Heat Wave!"

> The ability to send a hot wave of extreme temperature. Temperature can range from a fire to the surface of the Sun

An invisible wave of hot temperature came out of Sunstone's hands. The air became extremely hot due to his Partial Ignition that cause the heavy water current to get pushed back and evaporate immediately into overheated steam
Even though the Night of the Waning Gibbous is holding their ground, the Deep Sea Current isn't stopping due to the intense rain that kept going inside the Grand Hall
"Close the opening!!" Sunstone shouted, ordering the disciples
Before the disciples could move, Tanzanite already acted and created a luminescent wall from where the Door of Recognition had been in place blocking the intense rain and wind from the outside
After several seconds, the water inside the Grand Hall was evaporated due to the Heat Wave. Don Scar has no more water supply to manipulate. The overheated steam has covered most of Grand Hall
Don Scar frowned at the quick-witted infiltrators. He then stood up straight and stood his ground. He crossed his arms together, indicating for the Capos of the Cartel to strike
Before the Capos could move, Sunstone is already in front of Don Scar, as te steam dissipated, impending to strike his head with his flaming red tipped left fingers
"Red Nails"
But then, blonde blur appeared on Sunstone's vision as the Underboss Ivy suddenly appeared in front of him
Ivy's body was glowing, particularly her veins around her arms, legs, necks, and face. Her blue eyes were also glowing
She immediately held Sunstone's left wrist, which made him stop the trajectory of his claws, and pushed it back. She then left elbowed his stomach and did a left roundhouse kick that sent Sunstone flying
Ivy didn't stop there and her limbs started to shake uncontrollably
"Erratic Commotion"

She then shifted around the area in an erratic and unpredictable manner towards the downed Sunstone. It was like Ivy was cloned and she was running, dashing, stomping on the ground and flying, flipping, twisting, and rotating in the air
With Erratic Commotion and Adrenaline Rush, due to her veins glowing, she will be unstoppable. Sunstone also couldn't think fast due to Erratic Commotion but luckily, he is on Luminescent Layer and his mental stability is increased
"Semi-Ignition!"
Sunstone's arm suddenly turned red and red curved spikes grew from his shoulders and elbows. His feet also turned red and four red lines appeared from his eyes across his cheeks. Small red triangles appeared next to the side of the diamond-shaped red crystal of his forehead
"Heat Wave"
Sunstone had to push Ivy back before he could act. The steam is also pushed backed and disappeared into the connected hallways
Ivy covered her body with her arms as she could feel the intense heat of the Heat Wave. She could almost feel that her skin was melting
Fortunately, Consigliere Brad warped to her side and pulled her in into a safe place. She immediately fixed herself up and rushed towards Sunstone
But, Sunstone has already regained his bearing and also rushed at Ivy. As they were about to clash, Sunstone grazed Ivy's cheek and made it bled along with her left arm and Ivy slammed Sunstone's left cheek with her left fist
Sunstone slammed to the ground and Brad warped above him and body slammed him with his right elbow
Ivy smashed to the ground with her left cheek and entire left arm bleeding profusely. She then dashed back inside the Undefeated Fortress to get healed. As she did so, her blood bursted from her path due to Adrenaline Rush
Capo Jerry stepped in and commanded the members of the Cartel with his Ultra Deception and Ultra Strategic ability, along with Associate Baoab with his Commander's Lead ability
Capo Liliana was singing in the back with her full transformation and Melodic Control ability to get rid of the distracting property of the Luminescent Layer

From Baoab's command and Jerry's strategies, Capo Michael rushed towards the downed Sunstone and caressed the air. As he caressed the air, his hands sparked and generated electricity between the fingers
Michael jumped on Sunstone and was about to touch him with his Tazer Spark ability
Sunstone was panicking from the electrifying fingers as he saw it from the corner of his left eye
"Burst Fire!!!"
Sunstone's body then exploded in a brilliant fire and light. Brad was blasted away along with Michael. Brad slammed on the wall and Michael was caught by Corpse in the air
"Rob!" Michael shouted at someone
The person who was standing eerily within the Undefeated Fortress raised his head
"Execute Forced Capture Order!" Michael executed an order
"Execute Forced Capture Mode." Rob said in a robotic voice. Then suddenly, he disappeared from his place
Rob instantly appeared next to Sunstone with his arms opened, as if he was about to hug him
Sunstone noticed that this person was a robot so he became ruthless
"Tempered Cut!"
Sunstone stabbed Rob's head and swiped his hands apart. Rob's whole body was melted apart in half
"Roooob! Nooo!" Michael screamed in sorrow. Rob's remains scattered in the ground as a few important parts metled away
Sunstone then immediately retreated next to Tanzanite, who was doing something in secret
"I didn't expect for an organization to be here during our mission day! They are also capable people!" Sunstone complained
"You're right... My Luminescent Layer is also being countered by two of their people. One who buffs their minds, and one who fortifies their minds." Tanzanite said in sadness as what she was doing is almost done
They were hiding behind a few disciples that had Mana Shields up that defends them from the bullets of Capo John in the open
The other disciples also have their Mana Shields up while hiding behind posts of the wall and pillars while they also throw magic balls back
Soldier Tom is accurately looking at the thrown magic balls. All of the magic balls are luckily missing them and no one is getting hit due to his Extreme Luck ability, or perhaps Syk is helping behind the scenes
"Are you almost finish with that?!" Sunstone irritatingly asked, "It's taking so long! We won't be able to advance to our goal"
"10 more seconds!" Tanzanite annoyingly answered back
"Got it!" Sunstone answered. He was ready to go all out for a quick second if things go south
But then, as if a certain person from the Cartel heard them, a wave of overbearing aura washed over them and the disciples. They couldn't help but stay in place as fear crawl up from their feet. The aura was so great that it was greater than Don Scar himself
The disciples in front of them almost has their Mana Shield being broken and depleted due to the overbearing aura
A few disciples has been shot down by John due to them unable to generate a Mana Shield
Then, Soldier Rei walked up front with empty deep eyes. The overbearing aura was coming from her
"Go get them, M'lady!" Tom shouted and cheered for Rei
Rei then abruptly turned her head to Tom and this made Tom hide behind Corpse
The overbearing aura of Rei intesified even further. Her Bloodthirst was at its peak
She was about to dominate the Night of the Waning Gibbous and Ivy was about to induce Adrenaline Rush on her, along with a few more buffs coming from the different members of the Cartel, but they were too late
Tanzanite's hands curled in front of her from containing and controlling such attack. She released it in front of her where the whole Cartel is located
"Moon Beam!"
The moon in the sky shot down a beam towards the opening of the Core Academy and changed its trajectory towards the large hallway. The Moon Beam came behind Tanzanite and converged in front of his palms
The converged Moon Beam then bursted out of her hands in a more condensed and destructive form
The Moon Beam approached the Cartel with Rei receiving its full blow first. With her Bloodthirst at its peak, she raised her knife and cut at the Moon Beam
It was not enough
The knife broke and she was swept by the Moon Beam and devoured his bloodthirsty aura. The Moon Beam continued towards the Undefeated Fortress and intended to swept them all away
Everyone held their arms up and shielded themselves from the Moon Beam, but it was worthless as they were still being swept
Don Scar mightily stood as the pressure from the Moon Beam was impending his body to be destroyed
But then, the ground that they are standing on, became green with a green hue. It's hue was so great that it battled out the bright shimmer of the Moon Beam
But then, Tanzanite had a follow up
"Shackled Moon!"
The beam of the Moon Beam abruptly disappeared and the artificial night sky also disappeared
Everything became quite, except for the torrential rain, wind, lightning, and thunder that was ensuing outside of the academy
All of the members of the Cartel was frozen in place. No one was moving, except for the green particles that was floating around them. The Luminescent Layer then converged and covered the Cartel like they were imprisoned
"What are you doing?! Let's go!" Sunstone urged Tanzanite, who was watching the process, to hurry up. "There will be reinforcements coming up! We need to get inside the Mana Hotspot before they do! The Divine Star is in there!"
"What?? How did you know?!" Tanzanite quickly stood up and ran along side Sunstone. The surviving disciples followed
"I can see the Mana Lines coming from the Divine Star after I used Semi-Ignition!" Sunstone shouted. They passed by the frozen members of the Cartel and went towards the center of the Core Academy
Tanzanite could only follow him while she looked on the ground. She is watching the gigantic light that is brilliantly expanding from underground. This is the person who should be stronger than the Headmaster. It was unfortunate that the device was used on the Headmaster
As the Night of the Waning Gibbous passed by and they were in the distance, Syk appeared above Tom's head
"Hm... The Gemstones... They almost had me... Luckily, this the luckiest that the Cartel can get after being frozen in time! I had used too much of my luck to save them... I need to sleep..." Syk then disappeared, along with the green particles that are floating around the Cartel

A few minutes later, Akayuki, Karina, and Knight arrived at the Grand Hall
They saw dead bodies of the disciples and the frozen statues of the Comfy Cartel
"We were too late!" Karina shouted
"No, we aren't, they left tracks..." Knight calmly said
"Where are they heading?" Akayuki asked
Knight pointed towards the hallway that lead to the center of the Core Academy. Akayuki nodded and held Karina and Knight's shoulder
They then disappeared in a swirl of smoke as a cherry blossom petal softly landed to where Akayuki was standing. The petal was swept by the wind and flew towards the opening and outside of the academy. The petal flew towards who knows where

A few more minutes later, two individuals stepped inside the opening of the Core Academy
"That was the Headmaster! He was contained!" Chloe panickly said after she confirmed the size of his star and his fate line from her fate vision
"Poor him, he didn't even get to witness the downfall of the academy... As we save the students from their brainwashing!" Von valiantly said
"Now Chloe, where are the students??" Von asked Chloe
"They're underground..." Chloe said as she looked at the ground
"What?! They're imprisoning the children in the dungeons!! I'll save everyone!" Von then ran to the Grand Hall, past the Comfy Cartel. Chloe could only follow him

During this entire time, right from the start where the Door of Recognition was destroyed, an individual was watching everthing from above
It was Aoyuki with his eyes extremely slit vertically. He first observed the fight from the Night of the Waning Gibbous in order for him to prepare himself on fighting them
Then, he was lucky enough to spot a third party that came inside. He became annoyed by the goal of the muscular man and his misunderstandings, so he decided to end him also if he became troublesome
After a while, nothing happened yet. He then disappeared in a dark blue blur after hearing a loud thump explosion and crashing at the center of the Core Academy

Inside where the Genesis Class is in, the barrier reflected the sky abover the academy
Dark clouds that blocks the Sun
The students that are outside became restless as they saw the sky darkening. A few students approached Yashida, who is the only responsible one present at the moment
"I don't know what's happening, but my Sixth Sense is screaming." Yashida said to himself which made the other students become worried. Most of the students present here are girls with a few boys as most boys entered the Spirit Mines
Then, a vibration echoed through the barrier that shook the ground that they are standing on. Everyone felt the vibrations and Yashida's Sixth Sense went out of control
His Sixth Sense was basically telling him to run away and hide but he refused to do so. This caused him to fall to the ground and curl up as he tried to control his rampaging Sixth Sense
By this time, Alex and Nana came running out
"What's happening?!" Nana loudly asked
"We have no idea! There was suddenly an intense vibration coming from the sky!" A student answered
Alex and Nana had a bad feeling. They then saw Yashida sitting against a rock with a half-dead face
"Where's the Headmaster?!" Alex then loudly asked
"He entered a portal and just left!" A student said
As their sixth sense were tingling, they unconsciously thought of Philip, since he's the most powerful person here right now and he might know what is happening
"Where's Philip?" They both asked as if they were thinking of the same thing
"They entered the Spirit Mines!" Abraham pointed to the cave
Alex and Nana looked at each other and nodded. They are about to enter the Spirit Mines again, not to kiss each other, but to find Philip
They stopped on their tracks as Chihaya, Yuze, and Lyre came out of the cave
"What's up with you two?" Chihaya asked as Alex and Nana stopped in front of them
"Where's Philip?!" Alex asked with worry
"He left something behind deep inside the caves and he will catch up." Lyre answered
"What?!" Nana said in surprise
At this point, the three girls curled their eyebrows as they noticed that there was something wrong
"Why? What happened? Why do you need Philip?" Chihaya asked as she assumed the position of the responsible one and fix the problem
"Didn't you guys feel the vibrations earlier?" Alex pointed out
"Huh? No? We were deeo inside the cave and didn't feel anything." Lyre said in confusion. Yuze began narrowing her eyes as her sixth sense was also tingling
Then, as if it was the signal, another massive vibration was felt by everyone. The ground jumped which made everyone jump off of their footing and almost fell due to loss of balance
A loud shattering sound was then heard from the far distance, at the sky
The Genesis Class and Chihaya looked up and saw a hole in the sky and a falling person that is in flames fighting a person with flyinf swords and blades
"Class!! Prepare yourselves! We might have an emergency in our case!!" Chihaya became serious and shouted that the whole class can hear
"Prioritize each other's safety and stay away from any conflicts!" Chihaya declared
Yuze and Lyre then walked towards Alex and Nana and handed them two True Spirit Stones each
"What are these?" Alex can't help but ask. Nana could feel massive energy coming from the stones
Yuze and Lyre didn't talk and showed them. They held the Spirit Stones in their hands and absorbed the Pure Mana
They then fully transformed ans everyone saw and noticed their transformation due to a wave of excess energy. They stood in front of everyone as if they were protecting then
Chihaya observed the fight as the two individuals were still falling. Suddenly, several more individuals came through the hole in the sky. Chihaya frowned
Alex and Nana stared at the Spirit Stones in their hand and looked at each other. They kept the other Spirit Stone and absorbed the other one
