Chapter 26: A Foolish Plan
The veins on your forehead begin to bulge as your face goes from a light golden brown into a slightly brownish red hue, your eyes begin to narrow as you shout with all your might.
"What!"
"The next 6 months I just said my father has little over a week to live and you try to keep me here for a few months, I could have just left to face him myself by the time I'm done here my father will be long gone!"
The man quickly turns to you and with a faint note of annoyance he says.
"I have told you that I would train you to the best of my ability so you can confront the man who poisoned your father so that you may save him, How can only a few days worth of training mean anything."
The old man begins to raise his voice steady as he turns to you his gaze meets yours causing you to unconsciously take a step back.
"WHAT DO WOULD YOU DO YOU JUST THINK YOU CAN WALK UP TO HIM WITH YOUR HALF ASSED FLAME MANIPULATION AND TAKE HIM DOWN WITH LITTLE TO NO TRAINING!"
He begins to calm down a bit though still shouting he says.
"If so you're a fool. Even with this training I'm not even sure if you could even hurt him let alone fight him head to head, don't you know anything about who your up against this is Murphy an infamous potion master and crime lord among the Flowing River Sect and he will not hesitate to kill even a child for even the slightest signs of hostility. For these next few months, you must train diligently if you wish to save your father. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Sir!"
The Old man's anger fades as once again a smile appears across his face.
"From now on you shall refer to me as Master Kai and you will be my student from this day forward."
"Yes, sir...I mean Master Kai."
Your Master places a hand on your head as he says in the same kind and gentle tone he has spoken to you in earlier.
"Now Elizabeth I understand your concern but your father will be fine, you see in this room time flows much slower than the outside world a month in here is only a little over a day out there so even a few months in here would leave you with plenty of time to save your father."
"Wow, really that's amazing thank you, Master."
'I promise that I will use this time wisely and save my father.'
