Chapter 27: The Sword
With a determined expression on your face, you say
"I'm ready for anything you throw at me, Master!"
The old man completely ignoring your comment walks over to the weapon stand and picks up the most beautiful blade you have ever seen as he begins carefully examine the sword, running his fingers along the metallic blue edge as he then flips the weapon now holding it up by the handle as he admires the majestic silver and gold trim that gracefully wraps around the smooth leather handle.
"Liz this is a beautiful sword don't you think doesn't it look pretty strong ."
Confused by this question you respond saying, "Yes Master this is a beautiful sword and it does look like a powerful weapon but what does this hav-"
"Though this is a beautiful blade just because something looks powerful doesn't mean it can hurt you."
He flips the blade with the fineness of an expert as he quickly and quietly walks toward you not saying a word.
With every step he took, you felt an immense sense of dread looms over you and it slowly grew the closer he got. The old man began to get bigger and bigger as your legs turned to jelly causing you to collapse.
'What the hell is going on...Is he gonna kill me?'
'Why would he do that?'
'Why would he take you here and show you all these things just to kill you?'
A murderous grin began to form on the old man's face.
'This was his plan all along wasn't it...'
The old man is now standing over you he begins to cock his arm back as he then swings down at you piercing your neck and cutting straight through you like butter as the world fades to black.
You snap back to reality drenched in sweat and when you look up you see your master standing above you with a sword handle in his hand.
'Where is the rest of the sword?'
"Now do you understand no matter how strong an attack looks or how scary the situation is it can always be a bluff keep that in mind."
You look around in confusion but suddenly a flash of light catches your attention you look down to see a floor covered in metal like substance but it has completely melted.
