Chapter 18: Saved by the Devil
Elician felt confused about the things that just happened today. This is their first night in this town and this is happening. Is this supposed to happen tonight? He asked himself. Who is the mastermind of these anyways. Was that figure part of the plan? The thought of the being, made him feel hopeless. He was more powerful than him.
And knowing clearly that the Demon was gone, made him feel troubled. He could show up anytime soon. But right now, he gotta have to find Lacey.
Looking at the far distance in front of him made him feel a little tired. He couldn't ignite his toes like before. Maybe he overused his powers this time. He started feeling drained. But it didn't stop him from thinking about how he was going to find her. But finding her wasn't really his priority right now and if it weren't for the fact that his mom could be killed because of this, he wouldn't have spent his time and energy searching for the rude spoiled brat. She made him feel stupid and he hated that kind of feeling.
With this in mind, he started walking. Slowly and bit by bit the walking quickened. It suddenly turns into running. He was determined to move with his aching legs. He moved through the dark road alone and fast. If it weren't for his weird abilities, he wouldn't have seen in the dark. He had night vision but it wasn't to the degree of bats. His body started yearning for food. He didn't quite eat today. And his throat followed the same route. It burned from the inside and it started screaming for water. His heart was actually pounding rapidly.
He couldn't move any further. The fast paced walking has now reduced into a slow crawling. He stopped moving, he couldn't control his fatigue any longer. His legs gave up strength and his. Then he fell off to the ground as his body couldn't help but sleep.
While laying down,he unconsciously activated the Lucifer side of him. His eyes didn't glow like fire, there were no long sharp nails, no horns, no fangs. It was just him standing there motionless. Then suddenly, his muscles taut. His bruised skin started healing. Then Angel wings sprouted and opened wide at his back like Maleficent.
( I am guessing she will surely meet Lucifer for sure)
Then the tattered clothes Elician wore started repelling it . His wings started moving. Up - and down. His body elevated in the sky slowly, and with a wild strong flapping wings he tore through the dark sky with speed akin to rockets.
Within just a few minutes,he was already flying above the woods. He moved meticulously then he saw high speeding horses moving forward relentlessly. With two large flapping of the mighty bosom the two horses came to a pause terrified at what was reflecting in their eyes. Something strange and mighty flew in front of them and the mere presence made the horses terrified to the cores.
" What is happening?" One of them asked, clueless of the things that was actually happening.
" Go out there and check it," one of them suggested.
Going outside, his heart was telling him to not go further. His eyes kept thinking about the weird creepy light he saw on the road. He had a lot of crazy things but what he saw back there still makes his heart feel uneasy.
He became dumbfounded seeing the horse continually stare at the sky. He brought the lantern closer to the horse but he didn't see anything unusual. 'There is nothing here', He announced moving back to the carriage.
Tap, something just touched his shoulders." Who is there?" He turned around but there was nothing to see. "Hahaha laughter echoed in the dark. " I've had enough of this."He tighten his fist and then he began to run. When he made it to the Chariot,his heart didn't spare him. Avery one present at that time could hear his dark beating.
"There is something out there!" He whispered.
" Are you kidding me? You are just a scary little cat. I will check it out myself."
Within just a few minutes,
" Ahhhhh" A scream was heard from outside.
Something had punched him in the stomach. And his body couldn't handle that kind of attack. He lay on the twitching like a snake then he spewed something out of his mouth…..it wasn't blood and it was much worse.
He had vomited all his guts out then he simply died.
The rest of the men looked at each other in shock. It had been a while since he screamed and he hadn't returned. Could it be that something attacked him? No. They didn't want to think that could actually happen to their leader. At this moment guessing wasn't helping, they needed to confirm it themselves.
The second guy that went outside got his head amputated from its sockets. 🔥 Lucifer stood there and his lips curved into a smile.
" I like the smell of fear, it brings me joy," He said with his gaze on the chariot.
As he was about to teleport inside the chariot, his back ached. It was an indication that he didn't have much time left.
When the Lucifer side of him emerges, Elician doesn't control his body anymore. It's like staying in the window as things go around you. He doesn't normally turn to his Lucifer side much unless something doesn't seem right or danger is approaching. That way Elician will unconsciously activate the Lucifer inside him to take over. Also the Lucifer side doesn't always want to interrupt the affairs of Elician. It disappears whenever his time is out.
Staring back at the corpses he knew he didn't have time left to cause damage, he simply turned back to Elician.
Elician eyes tingled with shock at the sight of two men killed in a very wicked way . He remembers falling to the ground but standing here now? Made him feel better. Who knew this could happen." Oh boy" he finally saw the chariot not far from him. Now he became scared. He was sure whether the demon that attacked him did this or it was just the dark side of him that caused this. Walking slowly he remembered his mom. Is she aware of his absence? She would freak out if he ever told her any of this. She was a very strict mother, she didn't even like the idea of the party anyways but she wasn't going to find out will she? He kept his steps silent. He wasn't sure Lacey was alive or not.
He hid against the side of the door when he finally made it. He peeped through the window feeling scared. But when he saw just one man at the other end of the chair with his hands shaking and his eyes closed. A small laugh escaped Elician lips. " He is praying🤣?"
He prayed for a while and when he received something he called faith he decided to go outside.
" What's taking them so long?" he said, making sure Lacey didn't notice what was happening.
When he slid outside the gates, his gaze landed on a small looking boy leaning on the window.
" Hey kid what are you doing here?" He asked, feeling confused about the kid he was just looking at. He couldn't guess whether he saw that same kid at the castle or not.
A shriek escaped his lips when he saw blood oozing from his friends as they lay there with most of their body organs missing from its normal position. He looked around but he didn't see any animal footprints. It was just a boy standing in front of him. Could it be that he killed them? He thought.
Moving forward he saw blood dripping off of Elician "You murderer" He pulled out his sword and with an evil grin on he swiped the blade at the little boy. Elician watched him in awe, wow he got guts.The blade came piercing through the air towards his neck. He bent slightly making the sword cut nothing but just the edge of the wooden chariot. He stood there stupefied. The dodging skills of Elician amused him. Not even training soldiers could do what he just did. But before he could pull the sword, a fierce punch landed in his mangoes.
That intense sensation compelled him to drop to the ground." Ahh, you idiot. My OFFSPRINGS!!
Lacey heard screams coming outside the chariot. She knew she was finally going to be killed. " I guess this is it. I am at torture Domain then, I should have been a good girl when I got the chance." Her heart burned with every shriek of pain she heard."Why are these people this wicked, They'd torture a true beauty like me?" She lay down as all this thought flowed in her head.
Then suddenly, warm arms formed around her neck. "I guess this is how it all ends"
" Get up, let's go"
She heard the nice soothing voice of her savior.
