Chapter 15: Chapter 13
Third Person's POV
Unang umatake kay Jax ay ang dalawang myembro ng The Demon. They still follow their own mechanic in recruiting. The 3rd rank gang will be the first to challenge him. If ever he can defeat the 3rd rank gang, then the 2nd gang, which is the Gold Snakes, is the next.
Jax stayed still and just waiting for them to get near to him. He grip the jacket hard as he ready himself to attack.
'Pathetic'
Bago pa makahampas ang dalawa ng dala nilang baseball bat kay Jax, agad nang tinira ng binata ang isa sa kanila gamit ang jacket. Nabitawan nito ang hawak na baseball bat tsaka mabilis na binalingan ang isa pa. Agad niyang natamaan ang leeg nito gamit ang siko niya tsaka tinuhod sa abdomen ang isa pa.
Pinaikot niya ang jacket niya sa leeg ng isa mula sa likuran tsaka ito hinila nang mahigpit para masakal.
Tiningnan niya si Clark at nag-smirk habang hindi pinansin ang lalaking sinasakal niya na ilang segundo na lang ay mawawalan na ng buhay.
Hindi naman niya intensyong sakalin ito pero bigla na lang siyang nanggigil nang maalala ang sinabi ni Franz tungkol kay Kitkat.
Galit na galit naman ang ibang myembro ng gang sa nakita nila habang ang dalawang gang ay nanatili lang na seryoso na nanunuod sa kanila.
Naghiyawan naman ang ibang mga nanunuod dahil sobrang bilis lang na napatumba ni Jax ang dalawa. Binitawan na ni Jax ang kanyang jacket at bago pinakawalan ang sinasakal niyang lalaki, sinuntok pa niya ito sa mukha nang malakas.
Pinulot niya ang baseball bat na nabitawan nito tsaka agad na hinampas sa isa pang tatayo pa sana.
'Why I didn't notice him for six months?' sa isip ni Franz nang makita kung paano ito mabilis maitumba ang dalawa.
Sunod namang kumalaban sa kanya ay ang dalawa pang myembro ng The Demon. 'Yong ibang recruit noon ay hindi nga makapasa sa 3rd rank gang. Kaya mas lalo silang namangha nang sa loob lang ng 2 minutes ay napatumba na niya ang dalawa.
"Gamit lang ang jacket!" hysterical na komento ng isang member ng The Demon. Hindi naman maalis ang masamang tingin ng leader nila kay Jax kasi mapapahiya ang kanilang grupo.
"I won't carry that if I were you," warning ni Jax sa dalawa na may dalang mga patalim.
Hindi naman pinansin ng dalawa ang sinabi ni Jax at nagtawanan pa. Sumabay pa 'yong ibang estudyante sa pagtawa.
"Yong mga nauna sila 'yong pinakamahina sa grupo namin at bagong recruit pa. 'Wag kang magmayabang dahil lang sa pinakita mo kanina," sabi pa ng isa tsaka in-exercise pa nito ang leeg at braso.
Nag-smirk naman sina Clark. Totoo ang sinabi nito. Weeks pa lang itong nakasali sa grupo.
"Oh? So sad," Jax commented and just shrugged his shoulders off.
Susugod na sana ang isa pa pero pinigilan siya ng kasama.
"Ako na tatapos nito pre!" sabi nito na ikinatawa ni Jax.
"How I wish if you can!" Jax smirked.
"Don't underestimate him!" komento ni Clark na ikinangisi lang niya.
Nagpakitang gilas ang lalaki at pinakita sa harap ni Jax kung gaano siya kagaling humawak at paglaruan ang patalim.
'My goodness! By the time I grab that toy of his, it's the end for him,' sa isip ng binata.
Mabilis naman itong umatake at mabilis na tinutok kay Jax ang patalim pero simple lang niya itong inilagan na mas lalong nagpapainis sa lalaki.
Gumulong ang lalaki para makailag sa sipa ni Jax tsaka niya iwinasiwas ang patalim para tamaan sana si Jax sa binti. As usual mabilis lang nakailag si Jax tsaka ginamit niya ang jacket para tirahin ang kamay ng kalaban na may hawak na patalim. Sa isang iglap, nabitawan ito ng lalaki.
Hindi na nagsayang ng oras si Jax at agad na sinakal ang lalaki gamit ang jacket niya 'tulad ng ginawa niya sa nauna.
Sinubukan nitong makaalis sa pagkasakal pero siniko lang ni Jax ang kamay nitong nakahawak sa jacket niya.
"I could kill you right now! But you're a waste of time!"
Tinigil na niya ang pagsakal nito pero hindi man lang ito nakabawi ng hininga nang sinuntok pa niya ang baba nito nang napakalakas dahilan ng nawalan ito ng malay.
Nang matumba na ay inisang sipa lang niya ang isa pang papalapit sana sa kanya mula sa likuran. Nang matamaan ang ulo nito ng napakalakas na sipa, nawalan din ito ng malay at bumagsak sa sahig.
Hindi man lang tiningnan ni Jax ang itsura ng mga ito tsaka nilapitan ang patalim na sinipa niya palayo kanina.
Pupulutin na sana niya ito pero agad siyang napaatras kunti nang may naramdaman siyang isang bagay na tatama sana sa kamay niya.
Napasinghap naman ang ibang nakakita.
Siya na naman ang natigilan saglit. Dahan-dahan niyang tiningnan ang huling myembro ng The Demon na sunod na kakalaban sa kanya. Kung hindi agad siya nakailag, matatamaan ang kanyang kamay ng patalim na binato ng lalaki.
'That wasn't just a coincidence. Looks like he is testing my reflexes. Is it just me or...' sa isip ng binata habang nakipagtitigan sa sunod na kakalaban sa kanya.
'I only saw him together with them only once. If I wasn't mistaken, he was recruited by The Demons five days ago. Something's off!'
Lalong lumakas ang usap-usapan ng mga nanunuod. Napunta ang kanilang atensyon sa baguhan nang sa isang pagbato lang ng patalim ay nagawa nitong surprisahin si Jax.
Hindi pa sana ito palalabanin ng leader ng The Demon kasi five days pa lang ito mula nang ma-recruit niya ito. Kaya pati siya ay nagulat na rin.
Hindi makita ng karamihan pero nakikita ni Jax ang parang pag-smirk nito kahit gamit lang ang mata habang nagtitigan sila.
'If he's a new recruit, it's safe to think that he's not just an ordinary recruit. I have to conclude anything that is possible to happen. And if my hunches are right, I have to stay more alert than earlier.'
Ilang segundong pag-iisip, ngumisi naman si Jax sa baguhan.
"So? The new recruit is confident to fight me?" ngisi niyang tanong habang lumalapit sa baguhan.
Medyo nagulat pa ang tatlong leaders pati na si Noreen nang malaman ni Jax na new recruit ito. That means, pinagtutuunan pala sila ng pansin ni Jax. Akala nila wala lang itong paki sa kanila at naka-focus lang kina Clark, sa pag-aaral at sa pagiging bilang top 1.
Nilagay ni Jax ang kanyang kanang kamay sa kanyang likuran then brush his hair upward using his left hand whilst walking towards him without breaking their stares.
"Are you sure?" tanong pa niya ulit.
Nag-smirk naman ang baguhan at iniwas ang tingin niya kay Jax. Dahil sa pag-iwas nito ng tingin ay niligay din ni Jax ang kaliwang kamay sa kanyang likuran.
Because of that, Jax wanted to smirk but he suppress it. Knowing that the guy is sneakily following the movement of his hands means he's reading his moves. Actually, it was just a test to the new recruit.
'As expected. He's reading my moves and he's quite skilled. But he can't fool me.'
"Ano? Labanan mo na 'yang gagong 'yan!" sigaw ng ibang members ng tatlong gang.
Jax threw a quick glance to the three leaders and by their expression, he knew that these three didn't figure out the true nature of this new recruit. They're being fooled by their own members. Pathetic!
Huminga muna siya nang malalim tsaka ilang sandali ay una siyang umatake sa baguhan para surprisahin ito at para tigilan na ang pagbabasa sa galaw niya.
'I must move differently to what he predicted me to do!'
Gumulong naman si Jax para ilagan ang patalim na hawak ng baguhan. Tsaka niya hinawakan nang mahigpit ang paa nito at hinila nang malakas. Bago pa natumba ang baguhan, nasipa naman siya sa may dibdib na ikinaatras niya.
"Woah dude! Ang galing ng new recruit na 'yan!"
"Siya pa lang nakatama kay Jax!"
Usap-usapan sa mga nanunuod na estudyante. Ang atensyon nila ay napunta sa baguhan instead na kay Jax kaya napangisi si Jax.
Nang parehong nakatayo ang dalawa ay muli na naman silang nag-away nang walang tigil.
Without the new recruit knowing, Jax just only prolonged the battle for him to examine his real identity.
Jax smirk in between their fights.
"They're all stupid, aren't they?" bulong na tanong niya sa baguhan na ikinakunot ng noo nito.
"They were all fooled by you..." ngumisi si Jax pero hindi naman nagsalita ito. "But not me! You know that 'cause you already knew who I am," pagpatuloy niyang bulong na para lang silang close friend.
Hindi naman maiwasan ng tatlong leaders ang magtaka kung bakit nakangisi pa rin si Jax sa sitwasyon niya eh mukhang nahihirapan na nga ito sa laban nila.
"I'm gonna recruit him after this recruitment is over," bulong ni Franz kay Clark na tinutukoy si Jax.
"And I'm gonna steal that new recruit from the 3rd rank," reply ni Clark.
The Demon's leader isn't happy of the outcome. He's out of place and he doesn't have an idea on what the two leaders were whispering. He just knew that something's not right.
"Pota sino kaya ang baguhan na 'yan?" tanong ng isang member ni Franz
"Personal daw 'yang ni recruit ni Neil. Hindi din alam ng mga members niya kung sino 'yan pero madali naman daw 'yang pakisamahan."
"Tsk! Gan'on ba? Pareho pala sila ng Jax na 'yan. Walang nakakaalam kung anong kayang gawin."
Naramdaman ni Neil, leader ng The Demon, ang pagtingin ng dalawang leader sa kanya pero hindi niya ito pinansin.
Muling natuon ang pansin nila nang sabay na gumulong ang dalawa para abutin ang patalim na natapon sa sahig.
"Who sent you?" mahina pero may diing tanong ni Jax sa kanya.
"If you choose to shut your mouth, I have no choice but to kill you!" banta ni Jax tsaka agad na sinurprisa ng suntok ang dibdib nito na malapit sa leeg.
Dahil sa biglaang idea na pumasok sa utak niya, bago matumba ang baguhan ay hinawakan niya ang neckline ng damit nito tsaka agad na hiniwa ang dibdib nito gamit ang patalim na hawak niya.
Nagulat naman ang mga nanunuod dahil sa maraming dugo ang tumalsik dahil sa ginawa ni Jax. The three gangs were taken a back because of what they witnessed. They didn't thought that Jax will do this to the extreme point.
Jax quickly confirm if his hunches were right. He looked at the chest of the guy and he is still shock because of what he saw even though he expected it.
'The eye tattoo on his chest just like what Kernel describe. I wasn't mistaken... he's a member of that unknown organization that Exseven and his father were fighting for.'
"Clever as always! You figured out!" seryosong sabi ng baguhan. Dahil nasa gitna silang dalawa at medyo malayo sa iba, walang nakakarinig sa kanilang pinag-uusapan. Wala ding nagtangkang lumapit.
Mabilis itong bumangon na parang hindi nahiwa sa dibdib. Umatras ito ng ilang hakbang para makatayo nang maayos.
"If you won't tell me who you are, I have no choice but to end you!"
"I know you can't kill me because you still want to find out every details of me. Isn't that right Mr. Wilder? The former leader of Elites Empire?"
For the first time, the guy threw him a teasing smile that makes Jax frustrated.
Instead of smirking as what Jax usually does, he just seriously looking at the guy who knows him well. Kung makakapatay lang ang tingin, matagal ng patay ang lalaki. He's also thinking what's this guy been really up to.
'Why going this far when their only enemy is Exseven and his father? Why coming after us? After me? If he or they know my past, then they must know the relationship between me and Exseven. They must know what happened back then. So why? I know Exseven already warned us by asking how's his L but... Why is he warning us? What are these unknown assholes' real missions? What are they trying to accomplish?
Damn! There's still something going on about it that that bastard Exseven didn't tell us about!'
"Something's going on," Noreen whispered to Clark and he quickly agree. The two guys just basically whispering towards each other. And by the looks of Jax Blaine, it's something rare that he's not smugging his face.
But for a minute of staring at each other, Jax heaved a sigh and stands straight. His signature smug face and smirk finally plastered on his face again. He then looked at the leaders of the three gangs and seems he's about to talk on something.
The leaders were just staring back at him without uttering a word because there's something more with his grin. His eyes' emotion is unexplainable.
"Anything that will happen here.. stays here!" he said as he gaze Clark.
After saying those, he then attack the new recruit without any warning. The guy is also quick enough to defend Jax's attack.
They're fighting with each holding a dagger. The crowd stays quiet as the fight becoming more and more intense. The guy didn't thought that Jax Blaine is like this. He let his guard down by thinking he can control Jax.
But it's not.
By defensing every attacks of Jax, he now knows that he has the intension of killing him. He thought Jax won't kill him not unless he know what's their identity.
Most of the watchers were thinking who really is that new recruit and who the hell is Jax Blaine. They knew it's just a recruitment but seeing the two seriously fighting, it's as if they're going to kill each other. It's like kill or be killed.
The members of the three gangs were also taken a back by what they saw. They knew that Jax is a unique individual but they didn't expect he's more capable of what they expect.
Jax jump backward to avoid the guy's dagger. He knew that this new recruit is quite skilled enough to entertain him but he's more experienced.
He threw the knife hard up above them that made the guy distracted by it for a second. But because of it, he didn't predict Jax's move and he's shocked that Jax is already in front of him with his fist coming its way. And it's too late for him to avoid or stay away.
For the very first time, the guy experience being punch hardly that made him dizzy for seconds.
He thought it's just that but before he fell to the ground, Jax elbowed his neck that made him lost his breath.
Jax hold his t-shirt's neckline again while catching the knife he threw. The guy knew it's the end for him.
"Do you think you can control me using your fucking useless identity?" Jax stated as he emphasize the 'fucking useless' words. "We can still find out in our own way! My friends already ended your colleagues' lives a day ago! And I'm gonna end you right here! Right now!" Gigil niyang bulong sa lalaki.
Before Jax gonna end him, he quickly get the crumpled picture in his pocket.
Jax slice his neck without a second thought that made the crowd gasp because of the blood scattered everywhere near the two. Before the guy lost his life, he tried hard to give the crumpled picture to Jax as he fell to the ground lifelessly.
Jax hurriedly look at the crumpled picture and suddenly his heart beating faster for a goddamn reason...
Stolen picture of Kitkat with Alfonso when they're in the school earlier.
Meaning that those two were being followed since the beginning and that they are in great danger.
Because of his anger, Jax grip the dagger and stab the dead guy repeatedly until he's satisfied.
He catches his breath as he stands up properly and slowly look at where the leaders and members of the gangs are. Some members were stepping backward absentmindedly when Jax look at them.
Jax walked towards where Clark is and threw the dagger near him.
"I know you can clean this mess up and can make everyone here shut their mouth about what happened here! If anyone of you still bothering me and to the people around me, you already know that I won't stayed still!"
He wiped the blood that's on his face before turning his back to them and facing the crowd.
"And if any of you tell anyone to who's not here about what happened here, I will find you then kill you... no matter where you hide!"
Jax hurriedly exits the court where all of the people there left dumbfounded and still staring at the guy's dead body.
"Fuck!" Clark gritted his teeth as he grip his fist.
