Chapter 30: 30: Memories bring memories
When everyone is home,they go to their respective bedrooms. Kel enters his and Mable's room and he can't hold back the tears and memories when he see his late wife's photo he sits in the corner,and rests his head on his knees as memories keep flooding back. Mark and Anjali enter there room and Anjali tells her husband she sees no need to stay at the house anymore, " I think we should leave the house,I don't think our son will cope with his late wife's memories associated with the house"
Mark tells Anjali they can't and if Mable where there she wouldn't allow it. Salma tells her husband she is going to the kitchen to prepare some dinner. She starts making dinner in the kitchen, when Mirabel enters the kitchen, she sees that Salma is making Mable's favorite food and seems to be absent minded," uh...Salma do you need help with something?"
Salma tells Mirabel she has everything under control all she should do is prepare the table. Salma serves dinner but no one is hungry she forces them to eat. When they uncover the plates,they see it is Mable's favorite food, Salma herself notices this, " am so sorry,I forgot my daughter is no more am just... uh"
She goes to the balcony and Mira follows her. Salma starts to explain Mable's childhood and her shock,"you know my girl,everything just happened in the flash of an eye,one day some kids bullied her because she didn't go to school she told me about it,I surprised with an admission letter and she was happy,she would run around the house careless whether her father loved her or not,when her father accepted her she felt like the whole world accepted her but that very same world took her away"
Salma bursts into tears and Mira comforts her.
A week later, Riswan tells the family Mable's last wish to get Mira and Kel married so they could raise Agni together.
