Chapter 30: The Bloody Arms
Inside the Adventure Guild Building
When all of us enter the building. Mr Aaron and his tea immediately walk towards one of the receptionist. Because I don't know what should I do, I just following them.
"Hey Karen." (Aaron)
"Mr Aaron ? You're back ? Seems like you finish the quest so fast this time. It's unbelievable" (Karen)
"No, not yet. We not finish our quest yet Karen" (Aaron)
"What ? How can it be ? I believe the quest is right for your current team rank. Is something happen ?" (Karen)
"Yeah, something happen when we just want to do our quest." (Aaron)
"Really ? What happen ?" said miss Karen worried
"Nothing like in your mind Karen. We found a lost student when we want to enter the Ruin Wasteland Area. Because of it we decide to bring him back to the City. That's why I want to report so our current mission is not overcharge" (Aaron)
"Student ?" (Karen)
"Come here Rudeus." (Aaron)
I heard everything mr Aaron said. I come forwards and said "Nice to meet you miss Karen. My name is Rudeus Hardlett. I'm a first year student in Ace Institute Academy."
"You are the student that mr Aaron and his party found ?" (Karen)
"No we not found him Karen. He come to us" said mr Aaron
Heard what mr Aaron said, miss Karen become more confuse
"Alright, Rudeus told her what happen" said mr Aaron
After mr Aaron said that I told miss Karen everything. From the mission I took until I found mr Aaron and his party.
"I see. Can you show me your Student ID Card please" (Karen)
"Yes" I took my Student ID Card from my pocket inventory and show it to her
"Hmm.. alright. How many days already since you took the mission ?" ask miss Karen and give back my Student ID Card
"Two days ago. Since right now is Saturday." I said it to her
"Hmm.. alright. Can you all please wait a moment. I will confirm the situation and call the Academy" (Karen)
"Sure" (Aaron)
After we done talking to miss Karen, all of us is sit in one of the table in the Adventure Guild. I kept looking around and see many people is come in and out.
"There are not many whose in silver plate. Many of them in here just a bronze plate adventure." said mr Klautz suddenly
"Why ?" (Rudeus)
"Most of the silver plate party will take their quest early in the morning cause they must travel far, deeper level of Mountain Range" (Klautz)
"I see. So what kind of quest they are taking then." (Rudeus)
"Most of it is gather the herb or subjection. And there is also a quest to help people like find their missing things or pets, cleaning the road and many other thing." (Klautz)
"What ? Is that a quest ?" (Rudeus)
"Yeah, surprise right. Before you reach silver plate, most of the works is just some menial work." (Klautz)
"I see." (Rudeus)
"Now, do you understand when I said you are different from us ?" (Klautz)
"Hmm.. yeah. I never know an adventure quest is like that" (Rudeus)
"Well it's only for low level though. Most of the adventure is just live day by day. Unless you are famous or a high level adventure, all adventure is like most regular people." (Klautz)
"I see." I said with dejected face
"It's ok Rudeus, don't sweet it. But you should work hard and not throw your chances" said miss Lydia
"Yeah miss Lydia. Thank you" I respond her with a nod
"Actually I want to know something Rudeus" (Klautz)
"What is it mr Klautz. I try to answer it if I know it" (Rudeus)
Mr Klautz looking around and then said with a whispering voice to me "Is that person is in the Academy ?"
I make a confused expression and said "Who are you talking about mr Klautz ?"
Then he still said with whispering voice "You know, the Bloody Arms, Glenn Quartz"
"What ??" I'm surprise to hear that name so I raise my voice a bit
"Hey Klautz, what are you doing. You should that name is forbidden to talk in the Adventure Guild" said mr Aaron hastily with a bit angry and a low voice
"I know.. I know, I'm just curious. That's all" said mr Klautz
After a few moment of silent and even though I'm surprise to heard that name, I speak with a low voice "Well I don't know about the Bloody Arms, Glenn Quartz but I know someone name mr Glenn"
"Really ?" said mr Klautz and the other member look at me too.
"Yeah. I don't know if they are the same person though." (Rudeus)
"Well maybe they are the same person. Have you ever heard his story ?" (Klautz)
"Well, if you all talking about the story where he massacre the entire family then yes." (Rudeus)
"wha.." all of them said the same time
"Seems like he really inside the Academy huh" said mr Klautz
"Do you all know mr Glenn ?" (Rudeus)
"Well who doesn't. But its such a forbidden topic so no one dare to talk about it" the one who answer me this time is mr Finz
"How's that ? Most of the student in Academy know that story too. So why is that forbidden ?" I ask confusedly
"Well, you can say it's because the Adventure Guild become a disgrace to the public" said mr Aaron
"Huh ?" (Rudeus)
"I believe you only knows half the story. Just said a beginning and the end. But you don't know the process of it" said mr Klautz
"Really ? So there is something more to the story ?" (Rudeus)
"Of course." (Klautz)
"Wait a minute, even though there is more to the story what the connection between the story and make a disgrace for Adventure Guild ?"
"Hmm.. well you know right he is an adventure before that incident happen" (Finz)
"Yeah, of course" (Rudeus)
"He is using adventure guild to aim his enemy. He kill many people but most the information is come from adventure guild. Not only that. Because he is a high rank adventure his movement can't be restricted so with it he has done so many dark deal and the adventure guild can only protect his information. That's why it's become forbidden topic." (Finz)
"Whoa.. wait, mr Glenn is high rank adventure ?" I said surprisingly
"Yeah." (Klautz)
"How high is it ?" (Rudeus)
"He is someone beyond gold plate." (Klautz)
"Wha...?" I'm shocked to heard that answer. I thought mr Glenn is only silver or gold plate adventure
"That's why he can do all of the things he did." (Klautz)
"I see. I never knew that mr Glenn is so powerful" (Rudeus)
Miss Karen then walk towards us and said "Excuse me, I already call the Academy and receive the news. What mr Rudeus is right. Now you can go back to the Academy mr Rudeus." she stop for a moment, look towards mr Aaron and the said "For mr Aaron and his party, Grey Deer Party, you all will receive the reward from the Academy and won't be overcharge for the quest you taken. Please go to Receptionist Counter to receive the reward" she make a little bow to us and left
"Wow I never thought not only we don't get overcharge but we even receive a rewards too huh" said mr Klautz happily
"That's good then. I'm happy for all of you. And thanks to bring me back to the City" I said and bow to them
"Nah, It's fine." (Klautz)
"Well you should go back now then Rudeus. I believe you need rest after all that happen." (Aaron)
"Yeah mr Aaron. Well then, see you again" Stand up and left
"Yeah, see again Rudeus" said all of them
I walk out from the Adventure Guild Building and walk towards the Academy
