Chapter 74: CHAPTER 74
"Mira!" Scar exclaimed, as if he was shocked by my question.
"No don't answer" I said, resting my head on his chest.
We remained in a comfortable silence for about twenty minutes before I spoke up again.
The sound of his heart best was so beautiful I almost slept there and then on his chest.
"The truth is I don't know what to say now and that is a first. I have always been good with words. I used to wonder what would ever make me have nothing to say." I blurted out trying to keep myself from sleeping.
"I've wondered so too." Scar laughed.
I elbowed his ribs and he winced chuckling hard. "Don't do that." He said amidst laughter and I could not stop looking at him. Happiness looked goddamn good on him.
"Mira." he gushed, hugging me tighter. "I never want to let you go. I would never let you go."
"Would you tell me your name after all this ends?" I dared to ask him in a pleading sweet tone looking up at him.
His heart beat increased and his eyes twitched. I expected him to say no and my eyes almost welled up, disappointed.
"If you kiss me." He replied with a smirk shocking me.
"Deal then." I smiled.
I gently leaned forward and touched his lips with mine in a gentle chaste kiss. My heart started beating so wildly in my chest. I could taste both of our anticipations in our kiss.
I honestly did not know what I was doing but his hands which he glued behind my head guided me. Leading me to my pleasure.
On one hand my heart was screaming at me to live, to feel. It was telling me to love, and not just to love but to love so much and to shine with it so bright that even the sun will be blinded by the light and scourged from the heat. That there should be no limits to my love, no clarity, no chains or obscure freedom. That It should be just the two of us in the world that we will make together.
On the other I had only just known Scar. I didn't know a shit about him. He was mysterious and strange and I could just be digging my own grave.
I pulled back to catch my breath.
Scar brought my hand to his heart and held it in place. His heart was beating as fast as mine was. Even his hands which held mine shook a bit.
"I promise I will tell you my name." He finally answered.
I smiled sweetly at him. I remained fixated in his gaze loving his brown beautiful eyes.
"See you can be nice. I thought you only had a bitter side of you." He spoke causing my heart to skip a beat.
I had been so engrossed with staring at him.
"Shut up you bastard!" I chuckled softly. I should have known that he would laugh at me. He was not even romantic at all.
"Please give me your phone before you spoil my ear drums. I need to call the DPO except you prefer talking to him yourself." He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes and handed him the phone. The officers assigned to my home had given me the DPO's number incase of an emergency.
He took the phone from me still smiling. "Since you have confessed your undying desire for me can we now call it a truce." He smirked. He dialed the DPO's number twice but he didn't he didn't pick up.
Talk about incompetence!
"Truce?" Scar asked ignoring the fact that the DPO did not reply.
I chuckled. "Asshole! I hate you but fine! let us call a truce because if we both have to meet the DPO then we have to be friends. So In as much as I want to gouge out your eyes and kill you. I have better use of you alive."
"All feelings are mutual." He grinned.
I rolled my eyes and stretched out my hands for a handshake, but he hugged me instead. "You are still my Reina and that kiss was ravaging. I do desire more of it."
I wanted to roll my eyes at his words, but instead I leaned more into his arms and inhaled in his scent not knowing exactly what had come over me.
"You know what? I think I know just how to cheer you up. The DPO just texted me that we would see on Monday. I will keep you safe till then but for now let's make you smile." Scar suddenly announced causing me to lift up my head and stare at him with curiosity in my eyes.
I tried so hard not to smile but I ended up smiling anyway. "What do you have in mind?" I asked with a grin.
He smiled devilishly at me and winked. "Just you wait and see. But are you ready to sneak out with me?"
