Chapter 1: Chapter 0 - [Prologue]
A certain god stood in the endless void looking bored of everything. The god wanted to have some fun in his life, he wanted something new, something that would cure his boredom.
He thought of many things, but almost all of them seemed bland to him. The things he thought of weren't something new, they were all just different versions of the things he already done before.
And through his continuous thoughts of finding ideas Half a day passed and he finally thought something interesting that piqued his interest out of all the ideas that ran through his head.
Reincarnation and living the life of a mortal. That was something he had never done before, but just the thought of that idea made him very excited. He wanted to do it right away, but before that he had to take care of something first before he reincarnates.
And so finished. He took care of everything in a matter of seconds and went on to find a world that in the vast universe filled with countless planets. From one planet to another his eyes travelled through countless worlds.
Finally he found a world. A world that suited him the most. The world full of things he never imagined before.
It was a world full of new things, a world that might cure his boredom, and a world where he would reincarnate.
The god closed his eyes.
Then in the endless darkness of the void.
Disappeared the last of its light.

A man suddenly appeared in a plain full of greenery, though it was a place unknown to him. He was naked from head to toe and he remained motionless. The man was taller than your average person, he had black hair seemingly like the endless of void, and sharp black eyebrows that matched his hair.
He had a fit body and a handsome face that soon turned average when he opened his eyes. Then starting from his head, everything changed the moment he revealed his two eyes, that looked like the depths of the abyss.
But his eyes change too soon along with everything. The man started moving, taking a step, but each step he took, the scenery around him constantly changed. From the grass plain, to towering mountains that reached the sky and a giant forest filled with giant monsters.
He continued to travel across the world until he found a human civilization. The technology in the planet was quite advance, but the people that lived there still continued their cultures.
So even though tall buildings can be found spread across the city, the overall structures of the buildings still had a resemblance to the past. The city was quite big and it was near the capital city of the human empire.
The city was divided into two parts, from the outskirts and the inner part. The nobles lived in the inner part of the city near the central area and the people that lived in the outskirts were mostly commoners and merchants.
Though you can gain access in the inner part of the city or even buy a house there, as long as you can pay the price.
The man moved inside the inner part of the city unbeknown to anyone. He was no longer naked, instead he was wearing a worn out butler outfit and his height was shorter than he was earlier.
He looked like a high schooler working at a butler cafe. He then wondered around aimlessly in the city until he reached an ally with a girl surrounded by five men.
The girl surrounded by the five men looked at them with an emotionless expression in her face. Her gaze was cold as ice. That was when the group of men finally started to attack. One of them neared the girl first and tried to stab her with a dagger, yet looking at the incoming attack the girl remained still.
*Clank*
The dagger that was supposed to pierce through the girls flesh collided with something and bounced off. The others did the same, but in the end they all had the same outcome. They were all deflected.
Because unfortunately for them, before their daggers even reached the girl, they were blocked by something like a barrier.
Looking at each other, they nodded their heads. They would retreat for now. After all their assassination failed the moment they weren't able to kill with the first attack.
Then they all disappeared into their shadows. However their attempt to hid was useless, as a light so bright lit up the whole area, making the assassins shut their eyes close.
Although it looked like they disappeared, they didn't leave and waited in the shadows for an opportunity when the girl let her guard down.
But unfortunately for them, they were forced out of their shadows by the shining light above. Along with the bright light appeared a woman with a pair of wings on her back and wielded a sword in her hands.
Her sword shined and absorbed the light. Then she held her sword above her head and chanted.
"Illuminate the darkness and destroy evil with your light. Averum!"
Everyone in the area was blinded by the light that was much brighter than the previous one. The light vanished as soon as it appeared and was replaced by the sound of a sword being swung.
The sound of five heads crashing on the floor resounded in the alley and then there was silence. But that silence was also soon replaced by a loud shout from the girl.
"Maya!"
She hugged the woman, who looked like an angel with a smile on her face.
"Were you afraid lady Catherina?"
"Nope! I knew you would come Maya and also those assassins were much more weaker than the ones in the capital."
"Is that so? But lady Catherina, may I ask what you were doing coming here in the ally all alone?"
"That was because I noticed those five following me. So to take care of them quickly so that I won't have some annoying problems during my vacation, I went to this alley to make them come out from hiding and called you here to take care of them."
"I understand your reason for doing that lady Catherina, but still you should be more careful in the future especially in the capital."
"I understand, so let's get out of here Maya, but before that shouldn't we take care of him first?"
"As you wish lady Catherina."
After responding to her lady's words she disappeared from her spot and reappeared again in front of a man wearing a worn out old fashioned butler suit. Then she slashed her sword but stopped it when it was only centimeters away from his neck.
"Who are you?" She said in a threatening tone her previous gentle demeanor from before, when she spoked with her lady gone.
"I-I am Sian Snyder, a butler for hire, nice to meet you." He introduced himself in a humble manner, bowing his head as his upper body leaned forwards with one of his hands behind his back and helding out the other for a handshake.
The angel retracted her sword when she saw that Sian had no ill intentions towards them and grabbed his held out hand for a handshake. She shaked it one time then let go.
But in that brief moment that their hands touched, energy ran through Sian, scanning every corner of his body. All of this happened in an instant, so that any normal person wouldn't even notice anything.
However Sian was anything but normal and he noticed the energy running through his body, but he ignored it.
After scanning Sian's body she noticed that he had very little Aeven inside of him. She relaxed a little knowing that.
"Sorry for my sudden actions, but I think you should leave this place as soon as possible. Lady Catherina, it's time for us to depart."
"Wait a minute Maya."
Maya turned to leave, but she was stopped by her lady. Catherina approached Sian in an elegant manner and after looking at his worn out old fashioned clothes she asked.
"May I ask how old you are?"
"I am 16 years old."
"Oh you're still so young, but you're already looking for a job. How admirable."
"Thank you."
"My lady, you don't plan on taking him as your personal butler do you?"
"Don't worry Maya. I know what I'm doing and I think you can see it too from his aura. He is very pure."
"i know but..." She was worried about her lady, but before she was able to voice her concerns, Catherina stopped her and asked Sian in a serious voice.
"Do you want to be my butler?"
"Yes!"
"If so, why?"
"I- I don't know, I just feel like you are a good person unlike my previous masters who treated me badly and threw me away as soon as they deemed me useless."
"So are you useless?"
"I'm not! And I promise you, I will do my best to help you out if I can be your butler and if you ever deem me useless, you can just kick me out or fire me."
"Alright I'll take you in as my personal butler, so go to this place tomorrow morning, I'll be waiting for you there. Maya, let's go."
She said and handed Sian a paper with an address where she stayed and left with Maya as they flew in the air, disappearing to the sky.
While flying through the air Maya asked Catherina, who was in her arms.
"My lady, why did you take him as your butler? Although I know that most people we meet are not as pure as him, but was that really the right decision? That guy looked ordinary and everything about him looked average. He also had little to no Aeven in him."
"I know all of that already Maya. But isn't that why he's the perfect butler for me?" She said grinning and hearing her lady's reply, Maya responded in a defeated voice. Though she also had a smile on her face.
"I'll trust your decision lady Catherina, but how will you tell your parents about this though?"
"I'll take care of that. i already have many things to convince them so don't worry about it too much Maya."
Catherina reassured and their conversation ended at that. And although they were flying in the air at insanely fast speeds, they weren't bothered by any air or strong wind pressure and also their voice was audible all the while there were no sounds of rushing winds.
That was due to the golden aura barrier created by Maya that surrounded them, both protecting them from strong wind pressure and so that they can talk normally even while flying.

Meanwhile, back at the alley Sian was smiling like a fool. After all he was now able to check on one of the things in his Mortal's Bucket List.
