Fifty-some years ago...

As the crowd cheered in unison, almost in an unintentional melodic tone, Esme sank into the shadow of Ossieus, hoping he would be the one to start the service today. Instead, Ossieus shoved Esme ahead, knowing that she was wavering in her own faith in herself. Before she was pushed out into the spotlight, Ossieus whispered something to her that sent a shiver down her spine. She knew then, as she met the fiery eyes of what was supposedly her brother, that she couldn't continue on with the act any longer. She had to end things tonight.
