Chapter 1: What The Hell Happened Here?!!
"Hrrgh" Jim grunted. He had a splitting headache from what happened the previous day.
"What, I'm supposed to be dead, why am I still alive and in bed"
He looked around and found himself in his room on his bed. Jim remembered being stabbed by a burning spoke when he went to Orphic Lake. But he also remembered himself dying in the hands of a dicelitic beast.
Which ever way, he wasn't supposed to be alive.
"How come I am having contradictory remembrances of the previous day"
He looked around and saw no one in his hostel.
"Maybe I should just relax and remember. What ever happened will become clear."
He lay down and his memory wandered back to the incidents of yesterday.

Clang clang! metals could be heard clanging against each other around the settlement. Teenagers of about 14 - 18 years of age were fighting against each other and performing all kinds of stunts with about 20 men and women standing round them - hitting, training them.

It was in the era of war, a civilised war with the use of machineries, modern equipments etc. It wasn't caused by humans against humans - no, it was a war between humans and beasts and the enemy of mankind, Unthor.
It was often told that long time ago, and old strong priest reincarnated into a human, a seemingly harmless human. This mage hated the humans so much that he sought to destroy all within the cosmos infact the entire universe who was a human. However, he didn't want to do this himself because he promised the earthly mother that he would take care of the world (not sure why he said that though). So therefore, he created a being called Un-thor. Un-thor was a being that rivalled the gods. He created Un-thor and targeted some of the world's strongest people in the world starting from the weakest in the ranks and killed them all taking away their powers. Un-thor excelled in strength, agility, power, thunder, speed and all manner of abilities. But one little problem, Un-thor had human pride and sought to kill his master. A fierce battle occurred and with the help of a warrior called Duncan a warrior, he killed his master and with the power he gained, he tore open the universe to destroy humans then resurrecting them to become like him. however it wasn't that simple he couldn't do much because of limited power in terms of such thing. So he ended up just breaking the barrier between beasts and humans. The beast fought against and killed several thousands of humans also losing some of their own. Some of these beasts included dragons, humanoid monsters trycartoseroses - a human corrupted with the blood of a humanoid beast making them stronger than anything else. Humans we're forced to gather themselves into one place as they were scattered and were more vulnerable. All humans were told by government to march into a new continent as their home.This they called The Academy. The academy was sealed on all sides and guarded heavily with over 800 thousand soldiers. Each year children will be born and population will grow so they expanded into the territory of the beasts causing a war again. Humans surviveed but with severe casualties. So it was decided that every child, man, woman, boy, girl would be put into different land areas 5 namely Academy A, Academy B, Academy C, Academy D, Academy F, the central. people would be trained in these academies and so strong warriors from the central Academy will come teach them while the whole place was guarded with portals for expeditions and guards.

A warrior shouted on the top of his voice
"Enough"
All the students stopped immediately and stood straight.This was Academy c institution
"Move to the academy hostels now"
Feet's dragged about from exhaustion and fatigue.
"hey man I couldn't leave a scratch on that girl" a boy commented to his friend, his name was Davis
"maybe she's your babe you know what I mean your girl...."
"Oh just shut up" Davis retorted to his friend who made that comment, Jim
"you think you can even match me" he continued
"not ever"
"dream on"Jim stated
"I was born to be fighter and you can't stand me because...."
he was interrupted in his speech because the male teacher had just hit him now hard on his head.
Feeling the intense glare of the teacher behind him he managed to whisper
"Davis what did we do"
Davis lowered his head and said
" we're going the wrong way"
"Sorry sir" they uttered in unison and went the right way
In the hall
The hall wasn't just an empty space full of tables and chairs, no it was a large Hall with a wooden base with little pins sticking from it the walls hard spikes protruding from it.
this wasn't cruel but to teach that in this world you must be careful and prepared. Students trooped from from all sides and discussion filled the air. Jim was currently which Davis and the girl who Davis doted upon.
At the other end of the hall was a small dome shaped door which could allow the passage of one person at a time outside the door was a large landscape and some structures here and there we saved as Academy C hostels.

This wasn't even the whole Academy c it was a as large as a whole nation it's just that the whole Academy C was divided in 8 classes to avoid too much concentration of power and congestion as food was a problem

Just four miles from that landscape were Portals was which allowed you to go into the outside world which was very deserted and destroyed.

Jim walked into his hostel with whom he shared with three other boys and for girls. it was as spacious as a developed classroom.
A pretty girl was sitting on the bed with a robe. Jim removed his coat and hiy gloves. Just as he was about to take a shower the girl called out to him
"Jim"
he turned back and asked " what is it"
"here have it it was by the door for you" she replied holding out a folded sheet of paper.
"thanks"
He looked as the folded sheet of paper "what was in it, could it be my parents, no they won't send it now and not certainly you like this" he thought looking at the weird nature of the paper it was slightly creamy yellow with not noticeable purple light emitting from within
"but it wasn't like this when Kay held it" Kay was the name of the roommate in his room now
" what is this attraction I am feeling towards it or maybe it is one of the Davis tricks again" he let his thoughts run wild.
However, he decided to open it. On opening it he say a handwriting so familiar it was that of.....
"Arrgh' he exclaimed he couldn't place his finger on it. However the letter went like this
Orphic Lake k North East of Water Cave. Come alone.
On seeing this, he shoved it into the bin.
who didn't know that this was where human faeces fell like rain figuratively, so smelly and nauseating and it was a place for punishment .What would this be if it wasn't a prank .He walked out of the room for training today, he decided to try out the specialty room It was one was system AI room securely guarded and could only be accessed buy good student with a K rank above.
The artificial intelligence would immediately transport the person to a seluded place outside the Academy with stray beasts usually medium strong beasts and sometimes some strong ones.
You were required to survive for an hour, after which, you will be brought back to the Academy. At specific times, the AI does malfunction sending you to the main world which was inhabited with devil like beasts leading to one's demise.
Jim entered and began praying for a safe return.
"Are you ready" the AI spoke in a monotone voice
"Yes"Jim replied quite nervous.
"Then proceed"
....
Jim was immediately transported to the seluded outside world. It was permanently dark because of the darkness Un-thor carried with tints of red.
The whole landscape was full of damaged burning cars, huge debris, red burnt soil. He immediately hid behind a huge block scanning for beasts.
"Crack"
Jim turned back startled, he immediately recognized the object as a horn.
"I hope it isn't..."
He spotted the sign of a star on its apex. This was the horn of a Kilodrog.
"Where is the Kilodrog" Jim thought. Kilodrogs weren't so hard to deal with.
Jim spotted about 7 kilodrogs dead.
"What the hell happened here!" Jim said visibly alarmed.
