Shadow then started an expedition and started expanding his kingdom.
He had the different races of his kingdom create their own unique villages and towns, but the only requirement was to have them in control, and the loyalty of the leaders must be observed.
The soldiers of his kingdom also started exploring the forest, mapping it out.
He also joined in the exploration; if he found any cave or hidden place that was devoid of light, he would open a portal into it before releasing a small amount of undead beings in there.
He also told the undead that they could only explore during the night.
Not only the undead, but the different races he conquered also started helping them map out the surrounding area near the kingdom.
While Shadow was exploring a place, he heard some kind of noise. He then started to approach the commotion.
When he finally arrived at where the commotion was, he saw many human warriors fighting against a huge bear.
Seeing that he had finally found another intelligent race, Shadow was greatly satisfied.
He was very careful not to let the human warriors notice him, even though he was immensely more powerful than all of them combined. He wanted to follow them back to their place.
But watching them for another couple of minutes, he saw that they would still take a long time before killing the bear, so he decided to help them.
He then sent a very fast attack, killing the bear easily, and did not let the warriors know that he had attacked.
Seeing the bear finally die, the warriors heaved a sigh of relief before they started dissecting the bear carcass.
Watching them dissect the bear carcass, Shadow was somewhat impressed. It seems that they are professionals at doing this kind of thing.
After a couple more minutes, they finally finished dissecting the carcass and started going
Shadow was silently following them, and finally, after an hour, he was finally able to see the human warriors domain.
What surprised him is that the size of the place is the size of a village. He always thought that in this realm there should be no lower power. It seems that he was wrong.
Knowing that it was just a village, he was not as vigilant as earlier and went inside the village.
He then found out that there are only a hundred villagers living in the village because there were many deaths during a hunt.
Knowing that, he went inside the village head house and started to talk to him about making all the villagers relocate near his kingdom.
The village head kept nodding while crying. It seems that they really cannot thrive without the protection of a kingdom.
After finding that out, he asks, "Isn't this realm only accessed by a kingdom, so how was your village ascended here?"
The village chief shook his head and answered, "No, we did not ascend as a village, but we were actually a former inhabitant of a kingdom."
"We were thriving there in the old kingdom when suddenly a beast tide destroyed it, causing the kingdom to fall and all the inhabitants to scatter and wander aimlessly in this world."
After that, Shadow kept asking for information about the higher realm before finding out that there was a complex system that would trigger a change in the realm once in a while.
Now he knew that the system barrier really helped them when they first arrived in the higher realm.
After everything, Shadow decided to make the village chief one of the librarians of his kingdom because he has the most abundant information and experience about the higher realm out of all his subordinates.
He then brought every villager back to his kingdom and gave them a village orb to build their own village in the kingdom.
The process of expanding his kingdom was going smoothly because the system chose one of the lowest quality areas in the whole higher realm, and his kingdom would progress much faster.
Even though the area is of lower quality than other areas in the whole higher realm, with the Spirit Gathering Array, it could be improved.
After a month, they finally arrived at a beach. The only thing is that Shadow felt danger when he looked towards the boundless ocean. It seems that expanding in the ocean would not be as easy as expanding in the land.
He decided to capture some of the mermen and mermaids in the lower realm and have them swear allegiance to him.
It would be much more convenient if he could conquer their world, but the mermaid world portal is underwater and being guarded by a merman.
Before he left, he had some of the lizardmen build a village so that they could monitor and strengthen the foundation of Eligan Kingdom in the ocean.
He also releases some of the aquatic beasts into the ocean as a guard.
The beasts are all demon-level, and he only picked the biggest ones for intimidation, like the Island Whale, Giant Chaos Squids, and also the Eel from the early chapters.
He even named the three: Blu for the whale, Kraken for the squid, and Sparks for the eel.
The ones guarding the beach are 7 dragon newts and 50 lizards.
After that, he returned to the lower realm and had a meeting with the mermaid queen about him purchasing some mermaid slaves.
Of course, he did not tell her that he had ideas for capturing some of the high-class mermaids.
The queen immediately accepted that she did not mind selling some of the lower-class mermaids.
There are three classes of mermaids: lower, middle, and high. Examples of the lower class are those from the shrimp tribe, the sea urchin tribe, etc., while the high-class mermaids are from the royalties and those of the noble bloodlines.
After signing the agreement, he immediately paid the queen with valuable stuff that came from land, like jewels, while the queen immediately sent him 100 lower-class mermaids.
