Chapter 11: Chapter Eleven: Dark Old Friend
"Did he kiss you? Fuc..." told East, but something got in his mouth.
'Bad words. Tsk, ' said Lucian
Elize drove fast, it's like they were racing.
"Take it easy, Elize, we're going to have an accident," Lucian said.
Lucian was more surprised when the car was speeding up.
'She is so stubborn,' Lucian said.
A few minutes after, they heard the sound of a police car. They are being tracked.
"Let them chase us, El," East said, smiling
Elize never said a word, she stepped on the gas and quickly shifted. Elize turned left and pulled the car over. They were still chasing by the police car. East was happy and enjoying the hunt, while Lucian sat relaxed in the backseat of the car. Elize turned right, there were many bumps on the road and it felt as though they were entering the subdivision. Moments later, their car stopped. After the police came through, Elize stepped out of the car. East followed and immediately reached Elize.
"Relax, El! I'm sorry, I'm certain that he shouldn't be there. " Said East
"What if he complains?" told Elize. "If there's a chance, I'll kill him sooner."
East hugged Elize from behind. "Sorry about that, El. I'll just take it back from you. "
Elize never spoke again. East laid his head on Elize's shoulder.

"What did Azra say to you?" asked Tran.
Dark had just arrived at his desk. Azra called him about something that happened to Ella. Ella wasn't the only person he helped, so he knew there was nothing wrong with what he was doing.
"I didn't break any of the rules," he said.
Trans went up to the Dark table. "Why is she so special?"
Dark frowned upon Trans. "You did it twice. One is for..." says Trans.
"You are mistaken," said Dark.
"Why did you do it then?" asked Trans.
Dark looked at Trans for a while but did not answer his question. Dark kept opening the new black card. When the card was read, he laid them on the table.
"Why?" Trans asked
Trans would have been back at his table when he heard the card drop onto the table.
"I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't interfere with you, I just thought that maybe in our 350 years of friendship you already trusted me to say things..." said Trans.
Dark rose and walked out of the office.
"Wait, Dark..." said Trans
But Dark never looked at him. Trans checked out those Black Cards.

Dark was seated on top of the tallest building with a beer in a can. The wind was strong where he was, and although he was on the upper side, the sound of the town could still be heard from below.
Like Auie, he considers Ella just as a friend. Ella is sweet and pretty, but she feels nothing but being a friend.
Besides this, one of those he will deliver later is his friend. He quickly emptied the can and smashed it with his hand, then placed it in his pocket.
Dark rose and savoured the cool air touching his skin.
"Dark!"
Dark turned his back, Trans was nearby. He got that black card in him.

Lucian stared at Elize. She was lying on the bed and looking up at the ceiling. She's been that way for the last hour and Lucian doesn't know what he can do to help. Then Elize sat down and took something out of the bag.
Using the phone she was watching something. She even bit her finger while frowning.
'What do you look at? Let me check it out! ' Said Lucian
Lucian was seated by Elize's side. Lucian was a little surprised when Elize turned around all of a sudden. Their faces were so close, Elize had no idea.
Meanwhile, Elize sensed that someone was beside her, but she was all alone in the house, she looked around and turned around. She had a strong intuition that there is something in her room, but she can't see it. She doesn't believe in ghosts.
When Elize didn't see anything, she looked back on the iPads. The red circle moves on the screen. Before she walked out of the building and jumped out the window, she planted a tracker on Gavin. It was placed on his neck and he didn't feel it because she had been kissing him before. She could not be caught again.
'Did he have a tracker? How? ' Lucian asked
Elize all of a sudden turned around and Elize's body penetrated Lucian. Elize placed the iPad in the nightstand, right by the lampshade, and then lay down again.
'You, you are too brave for a woman. You are neither Joan of Arc nor Lara Croft nor even Cardo Dalisay without death.. I know you're cool, but don't start as if you're about to kill yourself. What if I wasn't there earlier? ' Said Lucian
But since Elize couldn't hear him, she didn't react to what he said.
'Haist! I have to get home first. I might have a heart attack for being worried about you! ' Said Lucian
Lucian went up to the door and went inside.
Elize took that shiny thing from under her pillow. She looked at it, a strange piece of feathers of a large bird. Its length is from her elbow to the tip of her middle finger. There is still a trace of blood at the very end of it which is its bone or something. Elize brought the feather slightly closer to her nose, it had a strange smell.
'It doesn't smell like a bird. Where did it come from? ' - Elize thought

"Brother, what happened to you?" Alexa said at once.
When she entered his older brother's room to greet him, she noticed that Lucian's wing had just come out. Lucian had a fracture on the left side of his wing.
"What else do you expect from the human on my watch?" said Lucian
Lucian cured his injury. He was hurt when he and Elize hit the truck. Although they fall into the foam, Lucian's wing still hit the irons.
"Let me help you, brother," told Alexa.
Alexa took the cotton off Lucian's meds. Alexa promptly treated the injury.
"It took plenty of time for the broken wing to grow," Alexa said. "What did she do?"
"Jump off the building." Said Lucian
"Will she commit suicide? Just like one of the soccer players at your school, brother? " Elize asked
"She didn't commit suicide, their target's son caught her and she had to escape, so she jumped from the 48th floor of the building." Said Lucian
"Seriously? Did she do that? She's so cool! " amazing said, Alexa
Lucian did not speak. He looked at himself in the mirror. He would have a hard time hiding his wing when he was in university.
"Here's brother, you can use this."
Lucian looked at Alexa's reflection in the mirror, she was holding a light grey hoodie jacket. Alexa handed it to Lucian who immediately accepted.
"Nice. Is it for me? " Lucian asked
Alexa smiled. "Yes, brother. Did you like it?"
"Of course. Thank you. " Lucian said softly. "Wait, why have you given me this?"
"I just thought it would be okay if you wore that when you were with the one you cared off." Said, Alexa
"You're timing, Alexa," Lucian said. "Thank you!"
Alexa just smiled.

Dark was just standing outside the house he's about to collect. This is the second to the last he will pick up and deliver for today. He observed the whole house from his vantage point. It was not big, it was not made of stone but this home was very memorable to Dark.
He still remembers the first time he landed in that place.
Flashback
Dark stands by the window, he will fetch the woman who will die of serious illness. According to the woman's record, she is only 23 years old, she has uterine cancer and it has only been a few weeks since they married her husband who is 25 years old.
"Rafael, my collector is already here." The woman said gently.
Rafael held his wife tightly. He had already released her from the hospital because she wanted to. Rafael turned around and was surprised to see Dark, as well as Dark, he was surprised, Rafael can see him. They say that people with a strange capacity to see beings like Dark have a third eye, But in the faith of the reapers, they do not see them, but only feel them. Reaper believed that only people who are on the brink of death can see them.
Rafael got up and approached Dark who had yet to recover from the shock. Rafael suddenly knelt before Dark, weeping while bending over and holding Dark's hand.
Rafael begs Dark not to pick up his wife.
Please, Martha is the only one I have, if you take her, I could die too. I beg you not to take Martha." Rafael said weeping at Dark's feet.
"Please stand up, I cannot grant your request because I am just following orders. I don't hold Martha's life. In the book of life, Martha's life is only up to this point. Please stand up. " Dark says. He made him stand.
"Then take me as well. I'm coming' with Martha, I'm coming with you. Please don't separate us. " Rafael said as he stood up.
"I can't do that. Accept Martha's fate," Dark stated.
Rafael was surprised to see Martha standing beside him, staring at the woman's body lying on the hard pallet.
"Martha, my love, does not leave me." Rafael weeps.
"I'll see you next time, Rafael. Promise me you'll live a happy life. I'll meet you when you're ready. Martha said she was touching Rafael's face.
"But I love you, I can't..." said Rafael, savouring his wife's hand on his cheek for the last time.
"It's time, Martha." Told Dark.
Martha looked at Dark and smiled with sadness.
"Alright," said Martha.
"I love you... I beg you, stay with me..." said Rafael.
Dark grabbed Martha's shoulder and the two of them walked together.
