Chapter 11: Aftermath
The Enforcers ring was a low grade spatial treasure, this indicated that such items were very rare and Ed cannot flaunt them openly in public. He suspected that such important treasures might get tracked by mages so he decided to empty out its content and dispose the ring even though he was reluctant to do so.
As its previous owner had died it was not locked and Ed was able to view its content, the contents of the ring shocked Ed big time. It contained 10 gold coins, 1 damaged high grade premature beast core, 3 middle grade mature beast cores, 2 stalks of 100 years old ginseng and few precious herbs and loose changes of silver and copper currency.
It would seem that this ring was the life saving of the Lord Enforcer, Ed decided that he will put them to good use lest the soul of the enforcer would be sad (sarcasm).
After hiding his loot Ed once again left the house and enter the woods, after travelling for some time he found a small rivulet that went deep into the woods. Ed dropped the ring into the stream and left in haste. It was fortunate that Ed decided to dispose off the ring as after a few days a group of officials would soon come to track the ring.
When Ed made his way back to his house he could see Rose's dad returning with some wild beast carcasses to his home, as he wasn't well acquainted with Alexander he chose not to greet him and discreetly avoided him and entered his own house.
Fortunately Ed came just before his mother regained her consciousness. He decided to share some truth with her so that she wouldn't take any extreme steps in the future.
As Jenn woke up she saw her son sitting near her with a happy face, she was confused as to how she lost her conscious the previous night.
Ed decided to enlighten his mother of what transpired after she lost her consciousness. Of course it was the modified truth.
Ed spoke with his puppy look " Mother after you fainted some big things happened in our village"
Jenn asked " What happened?"
Ed replied" The compound that was recently constructed near the village border got attacked by wild beasts and led to a big commotion last night."
Jenn was shocked as she knew what it meant and she hurriedly asked" Did anyone die in the compound?"
Ed wanted to say that all the bastards were dead but chose to say" I don't know mom after you fainted i panicked and didn't sleep properly last night so i went out for a walk and heard the commotion."
Ed then pretend to fall asleep and laid down on his mother lap. Jenn thought her poor Ed must have been worried sick due to her fainting last night, so she carried him to his bed ,laid him down and went outside to gather information on the beast attack.
Jenn went to Rose's house as her mother was her closest friend. Rose's mother Laura felt happy for Jenn as she knew Jenn's predicament was solved. She brought Jenn inside and explained every thing her husband Alex heard last night.
Laura said" That animal William got what he deserved. He had tried to auction some wild animal cubs along with some destitute children and then got attacked by the wild animals that came looking for their young ones. Lot of wealthy merchants and a high ranking official also took part in the auction and all of them died, the compound has been locked down for official investigation. Thank god that animal has died, i prayed for you Jenn"
Jenn who heard this cried as she truly felt that god existed and saved her son and herself from the ordeal.
Laura added" Jenn the merchant who took our jobs has offered to take us back but i say screw them, they don't value us so i decided to start my own business, Alex got a major haul from yesterday's beast incursion and decided to invest in my own clothing store , how about lending your sister a hand i will pay you the same wage as before how does it sound"
Jenn was moved beyond words , she knew that she was penniless and in debt and Laura had just tossed her a lifeline so Jenn accepted it without a second thought.

Kingdom of Britania
King Bargess was sitting in the throne room, he had called for a full court meeting 4 days ago when he received the dying prophesy of Abraham, it was a pity that Abe died and also his dying message was cryptic.
Bargess gave the job of finding relevant information on the prophesy to Abe's top student and today was the day of debriefing to his vassals who have come to the capital on such short notice from different corners of his country.
Just as the king was contemplating a messenger announced to the court the arrival of the new chief magical adviser Pluto. Pluto was relatively younger than Abe and was his best student, he respected Abe like his father, it was hard for him to work when he should have been mourning but he choose to work as Abe would have told him to do so if he were alive.
Pluto compared the dying message of his mentor with the historical accounts left behind by their predecessors and made a few discoveries. He had informed the king about the recent developments and Bargess had asked him to debrief it to the court.So here came Pluto.
Pluto greeted the king first and then greeted the court in general as his station was only below the king.
Pluto said" I will not waste time of the gathered and come straight to the point. I am here to share my findings about my teachers dying prophesy. As you all know that my teachers prophesy have always come to pass. His message warned us about a dragon ,and by going through the records left behind by the previous court mages, i found that during the great war that shaped out continent 800 years ago there was a battle between the strongest human and the strongest dragon, people then believed that the heroic human mage defeated the dragon and died in the process, but there was never any sufficient evidence. So my conjecture is that the recent message has to do with the vanquished dragon of the old"
Pluto only guessed and didn't have any idea that his guess was partially true, but he was only concerned with the message so he believed the impending doom would be brought by a dragon and had formulated a plan to wage a preemptive war against the magic beast alliance.
