~~~(POV: Albus Dumbledore)~~~
~~~(Location: Headmasters Office, Hogwarts)~~~

~~~(Date: June 2nd, 1992)~~~
~~~(Time: 2:18 PM)~~~

"What does it mean, Albus..."

Minerva and I are alone in my office. The children are okay, and no permanent harm has been done. Her question pertains to what was down there with Harry. Tom has shown himself, and my suspicions of his death are confirmed.

His body may be destroyed, but his spirit and mind remain on this mortal plane. My wand is soon in my hand, and a book appears.

"Voldemort. He was always searching for powerful magic. Ways to make himself invincible. It seems he's found a way to sustain his life while still lacking a body."

When I'm alone, I refer to Tom by his given name. However, when others are around. I use the name he picked for himself. The book I've got in front of me is something Tom checked out a lot when he was a student.

There aren't answers in this book, but I know he's not dead now. I'm going to search through all his interests when he was here.

"Harry will return to the Dursleys when the term ends. Will he be safe there?"

When Lily sacrificed herself for Harry and provided him protection against Tom, it was not only for that moment but until Harry is 17.

"Petunia will be the protection he needs. Professor Quirrell proved that Voldemort could find a way into Hogwarts. No matter how much any of us try to prevent it now. He still has allies."

Minerva takes off her glasses and gently folds them. Placing them in her pocket and sitting down in one of the chairs across from me. Her eyes land on the red stone that Alex gave to me in the hospital wing.

Harry proved his bravery in his battle with Tom. He could've restored his body if he had gotten his hands on the sorcerer's stone. My spell seemed to have worked in the end.

"What of Alex..."

Alex is keeping secrets from us. From me. Something happened down there that's changed something. In fact, for the last month, he's been acting strange.

Not devious or malicious. Only a heavy burden on his mind. I'd ask him, but the boy has a lot of pride for his age. He'd mask his vulnerabilities and weakness. I'd say that's a bad sign, but there won't ever be another Tom Riddle.

Will Alex be a dark man and wizard when he's older... I know not. All I can do is guide him down a path that is best for him.

"Alex is a formidable child. His dedication to magic and knowledge prepare him for almost anything. His use of complex spells is proof of that. But I believe Alex has developed vulnerabilities somewhere. In his mind, maybe."

I don't know everything about Alex. His family is still largely a mystery to me. He doesn't know anything about his family, either.

"You know he's stronger than he should be for a wizard his age. It's unnatural, Albus. Something is wrong with the boy."

Yes, he's unnaturally powerful.

For his age.

But I don't think anything is wrong.

Not yet, anyway.

~~~(POV: Alexander Aevum)~~~
"You were incredibly stupid for jumping down a trapdoor. Especially since you didn't know where it led, you could've died."
Daphne is keeping me company in the hospital now that classes are out. Everyone is back in classes except for Harry and me. He's on the other side of the room, sleeping.
He's been unconscious since I found him. All the professors and Albus say he'll be fine and that he's just tired. My attention fixates on Daphne's concern for me. She's one of the people I can call my friend aside from Hermione.
And maybe Ron and Harry now, but I couldn't say for sure.
"Stupid, huh..."
She looks at me with pure seriousness.
"That's the first time in my life I've been called stupid..."
In hindsight... It was stupid...
I became consumed with following the voice that called me. I don't know what's wrong with me, but something is happening. I'm hearing things that others can't, and my nightmares are never-ending.
Secrets, all best kept to myself.
"Well, you were!!"
The incredulous edge of her voice throws me a little off guard.
What is she? My mother or something?
Geez.
