Felix nearly agreed with him reflexively, but then he thought about what Darius had said and his jaw dropped.

"My lord, demonesses have always been different from ordinary women. They cannot be underestimated even if they have no demon blood running through their veins. Since when did you start becoming so relaxed around demons?" Felix rattled on and stopped when he got the answer to his own question. Since he married one. That was when Darius started becoming relaxed around demons.

Just as he thought when he first saw Delaney, she was not to be underestimated. It had not even been a couple months since their wedding but she already had Darius's mind right where she wanted it. For now, he could only play along with his lord's mistaken idea as long as it worked.

"If she continues staying here, it will be bad for her." He suggested.

Unfortunately, Darius saw right through him. He simply shrugged. "Nothing is going to happen to her under my watch."
