Chapter 2: A Firey Encounter

When the sun came up the light fell onto Yuki's face making her looked like a thousand diamonds made her face. Then she remembered that she escaped last night from the palace. So, she quickly got off of the cart and into the woods trying to make sure she wasn't followed. Yuki was in a strange place and everything was new to her.

-----------

Soon she arrived at an inn and went inside. It was busy and alive with sounds and so many different people. Yuki slowly went into the dining area of the inn and sat down at a table. Yuki made sure her face was covered so no one recognized her.

"Well, well, well... looked what we have here, someone who took our spot," a strange man's voice said.

Yuki quickly looked and saw a hand about to hit her face. She quickly tried to covered herself with her hands, but someone grabbed the man's wrist.

"Do you guys have somewhere else you needed to be?" another man's voice said making the ones who where harassing Yuki run away.

Yuki looked and saw the man who had saved her life. The man had black hair with a little bit of a orange ombre in his hair. He also was tall, slim and he had his black shirt open showing his muscular chest and abs.

He stared at her with his red eyes and said, "Let me guess... your new around here aren't you?"

"Yes I am and I don't know much about what is going on," Yuki said in a polite voice that sounded like silk.

He tossed a small coin bag to her then he walked away acting like nothing had happened. Yuki was thankful that this man was able to help her.

----------

Once Yuki was done with her meal she checked into a room and went to the room. The room looked like the rest of the rooms, sliding old doors, a futon in the corner of the room and a tea table on a rug. Yuki was thankful for a roof over her head, but just then there was commotion going on outside that she had to quickly looked. Yuki's face turned pale as the snow... the kingdom guards were here.

"We're looking for her highness, princess Le Yuki who went missing last night. There will be an award for anyone who turns her in," the head guard yelled, while looking at the crowd.

Yuki backed away from the door and she went out the back so, no one can see her. She ran as fast as she can into the woods hoping no one saw here run away from there. She looked back and didn't see the inn anymore so, she stopped.

"Is this day going to get any worse the what it is?" Yuki thought as she tried to catch her breath.

Soon it started to rain and lighting flashed across the sky. Yuki ran as fast she can, but she slipped and sprained her ankle. She was in so much pain that she didn't care that the rain fell onto her face, while her tears fell down her face. Then she felt something lift her up. It was the same man that helped her earlier and gave her the coin bag.

"You have to be careful, there's a lot of puddles that are extremely slippery," He said hold Yuki in his arms.

Yuki didn't say anything as he carried through the dark forest. She kept on looking at him for a really long time as the night slowly apporach.

-------

They arrived at a cave and went in. He set Yuki on the ground close to the fire to keep her warm. Then he placed a blanket on her before he sat on the other side of the fire. She looked at him for a few minutes before trying to fall asleep on the cave floor.

Yuki wondered, "I hope Aimi is ok after she risk her life to save me."

He looked at her then looked outside. Things were going to become alot weirder for the both of them.
