Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - First Invention In Other World.
A few months later.
In the library of the Alchemic Association, you could see a small boy writing something on a paper. From time to time he would look at the book beside him and then keep writing with great concentration.
This boy was Tatsuya it has been 3 months since he became a Grey Robe Alchemist. There were not many people who knew about it. In three months he had translated 10s of bulky books and around 100 thin books.
Through expeditions and treasure hunts there were many old books in Glory City. It did not lack knowledge just no one could read it since the different country had a different language before the age of darkness.
With the help of the system, Tatsuya was able to translate all languages. To make things easier for him in past months he also wrote a book that would help others to translate.
He thought of this as an experiment if the indirect contribution would also give him points.
Because of all this new knowledge, there was a big change in the Alchemy Association too.
Yang Xin started reorganizing the learning contents and started to remove Bloated content while adding the new knowledge they gained from the newly translated books.
There was also a difference in the quality and quantity of the pills they made. New pills emerged one after another, with their increased demand The Association was still profiting even when they decreased the price of older pills.
Tatsuya looked up and saw Yang Xin was sleeping in front of him with her head on the table. Her hairs and clothes were messy, her face looked haggard even in her sleep. Everyone in the Association was busy his teacher was even busier since she worked the hardest.
"Teacher" Tatsuya called out as he poked her forehead with his brush.
Yang Xin twitched as he poked her a few more times before she opened her eyes.
"ah...huh...*Yawn*" She stretched her body which made her breasts stand out even more. It looked like they would fall out of her dress any second.
"Goodmorning Teacher" Tatsuya looked at her without flinching as if he was already used to seeing this every day.
"Little Brother Tatsuya Good Morning"
Tatsuya took out two pure white pills from his Interspacial ring "Here Mind Calming Pill and Stamina Pill. It will her you wake up."
Yang Xin looked at his stoic face as her mouth twitched she snatched the pills from his hand and ate them forcefully while mumbling "Tatsuya you demon, can't you pity your beautiful teacher more. You know how important is beauty sleep I am barely 20 yet I look 30."
Tatsuya pondered with a serious expression as if he was contemplating how important was a beauty sleep "are things that hard?"
Yang Xin moaned as she rubbed her eyes "There are too many changes and it takes you a day to translate a book but it takes weeks for all alchemist to understand just their fur. That alone is so helpful with all the changes there are too many things to do. New materials, pills, testing, research, recompiling the known knowledge."
Tatsuya tilted his head "you know we are not even halfway yet. I barely got through half of the books in the library. After this there are books in the Holy Orchid Institutes Library after that there are books in City Lords Library and even after that there are books from treasure hunts and finally, there are books from other Aristocratic Families."
Yang Xin got on her knees from shock as she stared at the floor with a hopeless expression "You demon, demon, demon...This is hopeless...It's impossible."
Tatsuya had a small smile on his face but he quickly wiped it out as he picked a paper and a new book from the pile on his right "Here I found something really interesting while translating the text this might solve all your problems."
Yang Xin got up energetically as she took away the items from Tatsuya grasps and looked at it frantically as if searching for hope but soon made a disappointed expression "This is just a cultivation technique and that too a poor one"
"Look at the upper left corner"
"This is...!!!" Yang Xin was shocked when she saw the note.
But soon she realized that this didn't solve the problem of Alchemy Association in fact the opposite might happen. More people might become a bronze rank and there would be greater demand that meant more work.
She slumped on her knees again with an expression that has given up on life.
"You demon...You are just torturing me aren't you"
Tatsuya passed her a book "Here read this"
Yang Xin "I don't want to. I can't take it anymore."
"Just read it trust me you will feel better"
Yang Xin picked up the book It looked new as if just been written. She could even smell the new ink. When she started reading she realized that this was a novel about the life of a poor boy who tried hard to study Alchemy with little time he hand during the work he had to do to earn money so he could buy some food.
She read and when she reached the chapter where the boy was about to give the Alchemy Exam and amaze the world with a single feat Tatsuyas voice brought her back to the real world.
"So, How is it?"
Yang Xin looked around with an embarrassed smile "It is really good. I haven't read something so interesting in quite a while." She was embarrassed because she felt she was goofing off and enjoying when her student was working hard.
Tatsuya seriously looked at her "then hear me out. The Cultivation Art I showed you made it so that even a 4-year-old might start cultivating. To know cultivation arts you must know to read and write. Everyone is taught that by the time they reach 7 they start training to slowly increase their physical strength but with this, they won't Art they won't need to waste their time. So, what do you think they would do in all that free time?"
"Look for something else to do?"
"Yes and if at that time they read this story which would motivate them?"
Yang Xin stood up excitedly "then we will have many new applicants and with new Alchemist we can lower our workload."
He handed her another pile of paper "Here, this is a report I wrote about different plans that could be implemented. Some Policies to help new Alchemist while some other suggestion about their treatment. There is also a detailed report on how this would help Glory City in the long run."
Yang Xin jumped on him from across the table and squeezed his face between her breasts while kissing his head "My angel!!! I knew you were my angel when I first saw you"
Tatsuya pushed away from her face with his small hand "you know this is all hopeless if you can't convince city lord."
Yang Xin paused in between her action of forcefully kissing him "City Lord what? Why?"
"For Initial Investment, The cost of a new school, cost of propaganda, cost of books, new teachers, cost of the support program for students with scholarship, cost of supporting poor students, even if our association is rich we can't do all that."
He continued while dusting his clothes "Even if we could we shouldn't since Alchemic Association might gain too much power. It wouldn't be good for us or Glory City in the long run."
Yang Xin got up and straightened her clothes with a serious expression "You are right I will go to city lord and talk to him about it right now."
"Wait, there is one more thing" He took out a small rough crystal from his pocket and handed it to her.
When she looked at the transparent crystal she noticed it had some inscription on it. At the bottom of the transparent crystal, there were only three weird inscriptions at the bottom while other inscriptions were brilliantly hidden in the corners or back. (< o >)
