"The next ball isn't until the start of a new season and then for the King's birthday. I don't see it as reasonable to keep holding balls for the sake of giving nobles something to attend. Unless there is a victory in war, I am not holding a ball before it is time. There are plenty of balls being held around the town and there is a festival coming," said Hazel.

Hazel took a deep breath after her long answer to Tabitha's idea to please the nobles. 

"The people are just as important for us as having the nobles on our side," she added.

"It is interesting to hear you say that as a woman born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Before becoming queen, did you think of mixing with commoners or thought about what they needed?" Tabitha questioned though she knew the answer.
