Chapter 34: Prepare Yourself
The sun had risen fully.The servents were arranging room when Merry's got up confusedly.
"Oh! did I wake you up mylady? " One the servent asked who was mopping the table near the bed.
"N-No! Not at all." Merry responded while getting out of the bed.
"Mylady, you should rest more, your health.." The servent rushed towards her and continued to be concerned.
"No!No! I'm c-completely fine.Thank you for your concern." Merry spoke serenely.
The lady servents were quite surprised and got shy about how respectfully such high ranking lady spoke to them. It was clearly understandable to see them surprised because most of the noble ladies were as much rude as they could.
Shailen smiled at their surprised faces (the servent who came along with Merry in this journey for Merry's assistance.).She thought that was how surprised she was just like them when Merry arrived in Pearls kingdom for first time.

"Mylady will you be going to attend today's function?" One lady servent asked her while doing Merry's hair.Now, they were more comfortable around her to talk.
"Function?" Merry enquired clueless.
"Yes ,there is going to be a special function tonight and every single lords and ladyships is invited..." Maid servant answered.
Knock!Knock!
"Merry? It's me." It was Max who knocked on the door.
"Oh! please come in." Merry replied.She got up from her dressing chair.
"How are you feeling now?" Max walked towards her and placed his hand on her forehead to check whether she still had fever or not.
"I'm perfectly f-fine now." Merry replied shyly.
"Thank God! your fever has gotten down now..." Max was relieved as whole night ,she had fever.
"My Lord, would you like us to dress the ladyship for tonight's function? " The lady servent asked hesitatingly.
"Oh! Merry, are you okay to attend the function tonight?" Max asked with concern.
"I'm fine.. B-But I'm quite ..." Merry tried to say her thoughts out loud.She never much attended such social functions and all and also as she felt that their gazes stared at her like she was some kind of weirdo.But she agreed with their perspective undoubtedly.But she could not tell him.She could not give him the reason that she was not well to not attend the function.And she was uncomfortable to admit it in front of other ladies standing there
"Hmm? What is it dear?" Max bowed his head to make her comfortable to speak out.Merry moved closer to say it in his ears.
"I'm q-quite nervous and..." Merry murmured in his ears softly.Max could feel her little fresh breaths.
"And?" Max emphasized little more.
" I l-look odd in front of those beautiful noble ladies." Merry was shy to tell him the truth but she tried to continue. Max's eyes widened with surprise 'She!? Odd!?' Max chuckled at her unbelievable words.
"Oh man! You are really.." Max was shocked that his wife didn't even know how beautiful she look. Merry was not used to hear compliments from others.Her unawareness was genuine.His teasing laugh made her heartbeat raising. Not only her but also the servents started blushing by his charming laugh.
"I..I don't think there is any words made to describe your beauty Merry....You look ethereal and it's not only by looks but also from every very aspect." Max words came out of his mouth like a tingling, delicate and genuine candour.Merry's ears burned and her cheeks rubified whose would not after getting such compliment.
Everyone's minds filled with lovey-dovey thoughts of this romantic picturesque.
Shailen along with other servents left this couple alone feeling shy.
"And don't worry, if you don't like to interact much then I will make sure that no one will dare to come near you.." Max affirmed with no hesitation.
"Th-That would be so rude Max!" Merry couldn't imagine what those people would think about her if he did something.
"Then....I will be there near you so, don't worry they won't talk rubbish...Also Robert, Dready and Fredrick are appointed as your own knights. For today's function,Robert and Dready will be assisting you." Max told her.
"Wh-What three knights? But I al-already am being guarded by four guards outside." Merry was confused.
"Those are just for external security purpose..I can't risk your safety to anyone..So you will be having your own knights, these guys are well trained..so it will be more safe." Max stated.
"I-I see.." Merry still couldn't understand why that much safety.When she was with her parents' ,she used to get such security when she had to go outside the mansion other than that she only had some guard for protection.She was confused and a little bothered to be surrounded by knights all the time ,which was clearly understandable.
"I will ask the servents to ready you for the function." Max said.
Merry noded.After that,Max left the room.
'How will I manage to meet with so many people and ....I don't even remember when last time I had attended such gatherings.When we went to pay our respects to bishops yesterday, all figures were unfamiliar to me.I know no one out there..The ladies even neglected my approach when I tried to greet them .Hope everything will be fine.. Please God! Please, I can't embarrass Max because of me in front of others.No, Merry prepare yourself for any circumstances , you can do this...oh no! I can't..No! I can.' Merry anxiety raised to sky.
