Chapter 2: I didn't expect you would arrive so early
He was just standing couple of steps behind the king waiting for him to be at ease but, Arthur already guessed it is Jason.
"Yes Mr.Jason, why are you here?"
Jason approached and said, " Your Highness, Lord Zharion the monarch has come and requests to meet you."
Arthur narrowed his eyes as if thinking of something and then exclamed,
" Hmm, So he has already arrived!" He turned to Jason and said, "Let Lord Zharion know that I will meet him in sometime. Ask him to wait for me."
Listening to the orders Jason bowed and Arthur nodded to him signalling him to go. The buttler left soon after the orders and Arthur turned to his soldiers, "This is enough for today."
Listening to this the soldiers halted on their place giving out a sigh of relief. They thanked the buttler inwardly as they were tired and had no energy by now. Their body was panting and drenched in sweat.
Arthur immediately left for the palace. He went straight to his chamber and soon appeared infront of Lord Zharion who was sitting firmly on the couch. He kept tapping his fingers on the table while looking outside the window. He felt Arthur might take time as he was busy with his training but was taken out of his revere as soon as he heard a chilly voice from the side
" I didn't expect you would arrive so early Mr.Zharion."
He turned around to find Arthur there. He cleared his throat and said,
" Your highness, the superintendent monarchs are in waiting to discuss with you about yesterday's fragiles. They have said they have got some evidences at the scene and have been proking the localities about the same."
Arthur took his seat and then said calmly,
"If they have already found the evidences, if they are going so well then why can't they continue? Why do they want to disturb me in such trivial matters? Don't they know I have many things to handle?" He paused and calmed down himself. He gave out a sigh in disgust and then said again, "You just keep an eye on their findings. You know I don't trust anyone and yes one more thing you need to take care of, their probing should not be harsh. I don't want my people to be trouble. I hope you understand and know what you need to do now."
Zharion assured him,
"Yes your highness, I understand. I will take care of it. I will convey your orders to them and update you about their findings later. "
Arthur nodded to him and started looking down at some papers. Zharion was doomed into thinking suppressing some thoughts. He kept his eyes retracted looking downwards.
Arthur soon realised the silence and then broke the silence,
"Mr.Zharion, is there anything else? What do you want to say?"Zharion looked at the king and batted his eyes before he could speak,
"Uhh, umm.. N-No ! Y-Your highness, uhh i-its not so important."
Arthur smirked in disbelief winking his eyes sideways for a second and asked again raising his one eyebrow,
"What is it?" He paused. He raised both his eyebrows now and massaging his temple of the forehead he said, "I am sure it is something important. I urge you to blurt it out."
Zharion batted his eyes again but this time he said more loudly,
"Your highness, uhh__ the thing is uhh___."
Arthur raised his hand to his face slightly scrating his thumb on the left side of his lips and said,
"Yes, I am listening."
Zharion straightened his back and this time said more confidently,
"Your highness, some commoner at the bella town,uhh... I guess somewhere close to the market yard in out colony has caused havoc since past few days. A lot of soldiers going around that area especially for terrifs have returned everytime they go. They complain it's some masked man hindering their rounds at that area and it's unbelievable that none of them has ever seen him. The other commoners of the colony too didn't spill anything on being asked." He paused and said, "I am worried if this keeps continuing it will cause major distraught in the coming future."
