Chapter 1: Chapter 1. Diamonds N’ Roses.

Obedience sighed silently as Maci, her best friend and the only one Obbi allowed to touch her hair, threw her bright red hair around gracefully. "How are you feeling, Obbi?" Maci asked, tugging lightly at Obedience's hair to straighten out the braid she was plaiting Obbi's hair into. "L-Like I want to throw m-myself off of a cliff." Obbi says, a smile placed ironically on her pale lips which were painted a vibrant red. Maci scoffs and slaps Obedience's laced shoulder softly.

"I heard he's a Knight." Maci tells Obedience softly, fixing her dress so it wasn't crumpled. Obedience hums in dissatisfied content. "I thought it was always your dream to marry a Knight?" Maci jokes lightly, and Obbi frowns at this. "Used to.. I g-gave up on the d-dream when I r-realized F-Father was a greedy l-loathsome cockroach incapable of l-loving his own d-daughter." Obbi huffs, tears blurring her vision.

Maci sighs sadly while putting a pin in Obbi's hair to hold it in place before tossing her arms around Obbi lovingly, holding her like a sister. "You have me, and Zenix, and little Zeno." Maci says, cradling Obbi's cheeks softly.

Soon after, the Wedding begins, and Obbi is ushered to her Father's side. "Hmm. You actually look halfway decent today." Obbi felt a dull pain in her chest at her father's words, but nonetheless smiled and dipped her head in thanks, before complimenting her father back. Her father cupped her elbow and began to lead her down the aisle once the music began.

Today would be the first time Obbi had ever seen her soon to be husband, and the moment their eyes made contact she could see why Maci and a load of several other girls had fallen for the young Knight.

He was tall, possibly the tallest in the room. Had gorgeous raven black chin length hair that was beautifully curly, bright green eyes, nicely tanned skin, and very handsome features. It was easy to tell he was a Knight, if the stance he held didn't say it already then the muscles constricting against the fabric of his tunic had to do the job.

As she walked alongside her Father, Obbi found it slightly adorable how his eyes seemed to light up in wonder at the sight of her, maybe it was because he was greedy and only saw this as an opportunity to get more money. Or maybe he was genuinely curious about his bride.

Obbi smiled a very small smile at the sight of Maci standing where the Bridesmaids stood, waiting for her with a look of encouragement in her bright blue gaze. Zenix, a Knight and Maci's faithful husband, stood next to Obbi's groom, looking cheekily at Max as if saying: "Told ya so." And a little ways away, Obbi could see Maci and Zenix's son Zeno curled up in his aunts arms. He was only three months old, and worryingly small for his age, but both Maci and Zenix loved him for him. And Obbi was very proud to call herself Zeno's godmother.

Obbi felt her anxiety spike the closer she got to her soon to be husband, fearing any man that came within five feet of her unless that man was her brother or Zenix. Once at the altar, Obbi's father placed her hand in the hand of her groom. He wrapped his fingers gently around her hand and lead her up the stairs of the altar, once she was positioned by his side, he let go of her hand and the wedding commenced.

Out of everything that happened in Obbi's life, of all the things her Father had forced her to do, saying two words shouldn't be so dreadful. Though she couldn't help but feel this wedding was actually the right thing for her to do.

And finally, the time came.

"..I do."
