Chapter 2: Are You Looking For Me?
"Lady Katherine, wait a minute!" said Luca when he saw a smile painted on Katherine's face. That smile Luca saw was not the kind of cute smile. It looks like a grin.
Seeing that her lady didn't seem like she was planning to go there to talk, Luca decided to stop her.
Katherine was silent and looked at Luca, the man who decided to accompany her when she ran away from her family.
Although by status, Luca is a lowly witch, who became her servant when she was 17 years old, Katherine respects this man who has shown loyalty to her.
Katherine even introduced Luca to Javier because of Katherine's trust in him.
"What if Lady Katherine goes there to talk first? If you go there and act recklessly, I'm afraid something bad will happen.." said Luca who could not hide the worried expression on his face.
It's been three years since they ran away, and they have absolutely no information about Katherine's family.
Katherine heard that immediately fell silent, she was planning to meet her family to finish their business.
The business she meant, of course, was not just words.
She plans to finish them off.
"You think so?" asked Katherine, calmer now. Her eyes, which were originally dark red, turned black again. Even though the fangs were still visible.
"Well, looks like it would be better if we finish this with words, Javier could be suspicious if he saw me back and my clothes changed," thought Katherine.
Her plan was to go and slaughter her family so that she could finally live in peace.
She couldn't keep running away when she decided to get married. That would put her new family in trouble.
If she had previously been okay with moving around every few months to avoid her family, this time has been different. She already has Javier.
"All right, I'll take your advice," said Katherine.
Luca let out a sigh of relief as he managed to persuade his usually more stubborn lady.
"Then let's go," said Luca who now raised his other hand, preparing to chant a spell so he could go with Katherine.
Katherine hurriedly shook her head.
"You wait here and protect Javier in case something happens."
Luca, who had chanted a quarter of the spell, immediately stopped his steps and gave Katherine a disapproving look.
"This is an order, Luca Ridcully!" said Katherine in a stern voice and glared at Luca.
Luca, who had wanted to protest, immediately bowed again when he heard this.
Katherine looked at Luca who was currently bowed. She could clearly hear how Luca's heart was beating rapidly, indicating that the order this time was against Luca's own will.
After Luca was given to her as a servant, their family held a ritual of obedience. This ritual makes witches obey their owners when their owners give orders to them.
If the order went against the witch's will, their hearts would start beating rapidly and their hearts would eventually explode. The only way to stop this is by following orders from their owner.
Katherine didn't really want to do that to Luca. This was the first time she had used the power of the obedience ritual, even when she ran away from her family, she never ordered Luca to follow her.
However, things were different now. Katherine is going to see her family and there will be no one to protect Javier if anything happens. Therefore, before Katherine went to see them, she had to make sure Javier would be all right!
The only thing that could make her leave in peace was to put Luca in the protection of her husband, whether he liked it or not.
"I'll go first, Luca," said Katherine, holding Luca's shoulder, which was still bowing.
Luca could feel a breeze passing through him as soon as Katherine's hand slipped off his houlder. He lifted his head and looked forward to looking at Katherine. However, the woman was nowhere to be seen.
"Please don't act rashly, Lady Katherine."

Katherine kept running through the forest. She didn't know how far she had run but she still hadn't found her family's place.
"I think I got too far," Katherine muttered quietly.
"Ahh tired!"
Katherine finally decided to take a break and leaned against a tree.
"Is my stamina decreasing huh?" thought Katherine, feeling bewildered when she was exhausted when she could have run much farther than this before.
Suddenly her face turned red when she found out the reason why she was tired this time, this was the first night of her marriage and previously she had spent her "stamina" together with her husband.
How did her husband touch her ... kiss her ... and even ...
"Kyaa what do I think?" screamed Katherine, who hastily shook her head and wiped away her saliva at the thought of what had happened.
Katherine, who had been thinking about how she would "greet" her husband when she came home, fell silent when she realized something.
She sniffed again as the smell drew closer.
"This smell… vampires… and witches," after saying that, Katherine hurriedly dodged to the side when she felt a wind coming her way.
"Fyuh, isn't that attack a little too much?" asked Katherine, who now saw that the tree she was leaning against had split in two before finally looking forward.
If she had been a little late in dodging earlier, then she was sure her head which had her pretty face would have left her body.
"Come out! I know you are there! " said Katherine when she saw that the people who had greeted her had decided not to show themselves.
"..."
"Wow, even though I came because I wanted to talk to you, but seeing you guys attacking me like that and still hiding, it seems like we can't talk properly, huh?" said Katherine with a grin.
Her slightly open mouth revealed very sharp canines. Her fingernails, which had looked normal, had grown to a sharp point like a claw.
"Where did she go?" said a man when he saw Katherine was not where she was originally.
"Hello, are you looking for me?"
Suddenly the man felt a chill behind him. He could feel his body trembling when he heard the voice.
"You," the man was about to turn around and cast a spell to attack Katherine, but just as he was about to open his mouth, he could see his own headless body.
"He's aiming for our necks! Protect your necks with magic!" a man shouted when he saw what had just happened.
He smiled happily when he managed to protect his neck with a spell, this time he wouldn't have the same fate as his earlier partner.
He then tried to find Katherine's location to attack the woman, but suddenly the person he was looking for was now standing right in front of him.
"As I thought, witches are troublesome," Katherine said coldly before finally thrusting her hand into the man's chest and squeezing his heart.
