Chapter 2: 2 - Land of Chaos, Saint of Slaughter
After the collapse of the 'Tang Empire' and it emperor, the Land of Chaos once again became a place that none dared to enter. It stayed like this for well over two-thousand years, the death and destruction of such a powerful family struck absolute terror in the souls of all inhabitants of the world. Be they strong, be they weak, everybody was terrified by the Land of chaos and the mythical creatures that hid within its boarders.
And it stayed this way, until a very powerful sect decided they wanted the treasures that this mystical land held. Of course, they did not enter unprepared. 'Sword Slaughter Sect', that was the name of this powerful sect.
The 'Sword Slaughter Sect' was a very new sect that was founded by a group of wandering sword cultivators roughly nine-hundred years before they entered the Land of Chaos. This group of swordsmen held eleven members, eight of which were men and three were women. When they created this sect they were all in the overlord realm, each following a different sword path. Among them was a man who followed the path of 'Slaughter', it is a path that focuses on killing multiple powerful opponents. His name was Izroth, this man was able to bring this group together with his incredible power and leadership. Hence, he became the leader of this group of swordsmen.
The location they chose for their original sect base was an enormous chain of mountains that reached far into the sky. These monumental mountains became there new home and sect location. It took them quite a while to become a properly functioning sect, often finding trouble dealing with the treacherous terrains. But they managed and ended up creating one of the most picturesque places in the entire world. From this point came a great era where countless young people were recruited in the sect, geniuses rose from every corner of the continent, all rushing to enter this grand and powerful sect.
The 'Sword Slaughter Sect' held ten elders along with the head of the sect Izroth, each teaching their own sword path. Each raising their own geniuses and each cultivating to new heights.
After roughly eight-hundred-and-fifty years, they reached a point where the sect as a whole struggled to progress. The sect head and all elders had reached a bottleneck and the resources that elders and sect head had gained during their travels were gradually running out.
This sparked a seed of slight panic in the hearts of the elders and sect head, causing them to come to a rash decision... attacking other powers to gain resources. This, of course, caused the sect to create many enemies and lead to their disciples being the target of the other powers anger.
And this caused the 'Sword Slaughter Sect's' elders and head to become worried. They withdrew any attacks that they were going to order and recalled all disciples back to the sect so that the elders can better protect them.
They stayed in hiding for twelve years, never coming out to get new disciples or pick more fights. With what little resources the sect had left, they raised and nurtured the best and strongest disciples, creating a very frightening force. And with this force, they finally began their plan. Entering the Land of Chaos, the land full of monstrous entities and countless natural treasures.
So they began to move, beginning a grand journey toward this frightful place. When they reached the land, they began using the materials they had to build a base. Now, this base wasn't grand nor was it big. But it was very sturdy, using the strongest materials and the strongest arrays they could make, they erected a powerful barrier and killing array. This put them close to their last legs, almost having no resources left, they began the hunt for materials and treasures in the Land of Chaos.
The 'Sword Slaughter Sect' lasted a very long time, two-thousand-six-hundred-and-sixty-eight years. Over two millennia, an incredible length of time considering how they began in this horrible land.But even with their strength and powerful barriers, they were not able to overcome the strength of these mythical beasts. In their time there, the 'Sword Slaughter Sect' suffered twenty-nine attacks from the beasts. Each attack weakened them more and more until, they became a battered group. In the end, after twenty-eight attacks, only 3 elders were left along with a few hundred disciples who decided or stay with the sect till the end.
In a valiant effort, these few hundred disciples and there three remaining teachers, fought the hundreds-of-thousands of monsters and beasts that swarmed them. But, even if they were valiant, they could never compare to the stamina that this many beasts held as a collective. They were finished in a locust like swarm of beasts.
They were incredible, but sadly, they were not strong enough.
This battle, was almost like a trigger. It's caused a new era, an era where countless sects and roaming cultivators decided to enter the Land of Chaos. Humanity knew that, if they wanted to progress they needed resources to do so. But, even though there are countless resources left, there will be a time when the run out. So they began to try an get gains for this accursed land.
From the blood and sweat of these brave souls many new geniuses were born, but even with these new geniuses, humanity had only been able to enter the outer region of the Land of Chaos. What was hidden within? No-one knew... and no-one wanted to. That place, was the nightmare of all people whoever were unlucky enough to catch a glimpse of it. A land of pure terror.

This chapter was a bit longer that the first one, but I did slightly lose my directions halfway through. I think I recovered pretty well but, what can you say.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter and I hope you can give some guidance... I really need it.
