Chapter 24: Attack
"Mother, watch this kid teach me to make paper birds!"
Yin Xuehua was excited when she saw Mu Rong, her biological mother walking towards her. Xiao Chen could see Mu Rong's eyes contained fear as she looked at Xuehua.
Mu Rong forced a faint smile at Xuehua and listened to her story about the paper birds. Mu Rong was a little surprised because if Xuehua was able to fold paper into a paper bird it meant that Xuehua had learned to control her strength.
"Madam, introduce my name is Xiao Chen…"
Xiao Chen introduced himself as Fang An's disciple, Mu Rong's expression slightly changed as she also respected Fang An who protected them along the way.
"Xuexue, Chen'er is older than you so you shouldn't act like that towards him." Mu Rong watched Xuehua call Xiao Chen as if he was the same age as her, Mu Rong thought Xiao Chen was at least 10 years old.
Xuehua was a little confused because she heard Xiao Chen was only older than her by less than a year but Xuehua didn't want to make Mu Rong scold her so she complied.
"Chen gege..." Xuehua called out to Xiao Chen half-heartedly.
Xiao Chen didn't really think much of it because considering his mental age, Xuehua should have called himself Grandfather.
Before Xiao Chen could respond to the call, he suddenly felt a killing intent coming from behind him.
"Down!" Xiao Chen pulled Xuehua down, immediately a sword stabbed where Xuehua's head had been.
Mu Rong was shocked, while Xiao Chen quickly kicked the sword wielder.
"What are you doing?!" Mu Rong couldn't believe it because the person who attacked Xuehua suddenly was one of the four first class warriors guarding them.
The swordsman was equally in disbelief when Xiao Chen was so quick to respond to his attacks and even counterattacked. The swordsman didn't think about dodging Xiao Chen's kick because he thought that someone his age wouldn't have much strength, in fact, the kick managed to send the swordsman flying back a few meters.
The other three first-class warrior finally woke up, they immediately moved to immobilize the warrior with evil intentions.
"Why are you doing this?!" One of the other warriors could not accept that their comrade betrayed because they had worked for Yin Song for a long time.
"You guys wouldn't understand…" The traitorous swordsman let out a long sigh, his stomach still hurting from Xiao Chen's kick.
"Chen gege, are you alright?" Yin Xuehua realized that Xiao Chen's actions saved her life, she became worried about Xiao Chen's condition.
Xiao Chen said he was fine but his mind was actually in a mess, it shouldn't have happened like this. Xiao Chen had never heard of one of the warriors guarding Yin Xuehua being the attacker.
If indeed the attacker was from one of the guards then Yin Song would not have blamed the Valley of the Hundred Swords in his previous life.
"One of my actions has changed the future without me noticing…" Xiao Chen thought.
Not long after Yin Song, Fang An and Wang Ergou came to the location after hearing a report from one of the guards.
"Chen'er, are you alright?" Fang An checked Xiao Chen's condition.
"Relax Master, this student is fine…"
Wang Ergou was slightly pale. He did not expect that there would be an attack on Sword King Villa. If anything happened to Mu Rong or Yin Xuehua, he would be held responsible.
Xuehua told Yin Song about Xiao Chen saving her, Mu Rong also gave the same testimony.
"Chen'er, thank you for saving Xuexue…" Yin Song had previously felt that Xiao Chen was not an ordinary child, so he remained calm.
"It is my duty to protect the princess…" Xiao Chen replied with a smile.
Wang Ergou instead looked at Xiao Chen in confusion, he was sure that when he met Xiao Chen at the Young Sword Pavilion almost two years ago he had checked the boy's talent and found that Xiao Chen had no special talent as a swordsman.

When Xiao Chen suggested checking the identity of all the residents of Sword King Villa, Wang Ergou's expression changed immediately.
"How dare you accuse the Valley of the Hundred Swords of having intruders!" Wang Ergou snapped.
"Vice Chairman Wang, Chen'er's words have some truth in them. It wouldn't hurt for us to be cautious or take precautions against something we might regret later." Fang An certainly couldn't stay silent with Wang Ergou's attitude.
Yin Song intervened between the two and asked Wang Ergou to fulfill Xiao Chen's request, this also concerned his own safety. Wang Ergou certainly couldn't refuse if Yin Song asked him.
"If it doesn't turn out like you thought then you will have to accept the punishment!" Wang Ergou pointed at Xiao Chen.
Fang An wanted to speak but Xiao Chen held him back, Wang Ergou's anger was only natural since Sword King Villa belonged to his descendant and everyone who worked here were his people.
Wang Ergou snorted in annoyance and finally ordered to check every occupant of Sword King Villa. About two hours later a piece of news made Wang Ergou's face turn deathly pale.
After an inspection, it turned out that there were seven unknown people infiltrating and mingling in the Sword King Villa, all of them possessed first-class warrior skills. It is believed there are several more intruders who have managed to escape before being examined.
"Vice Chairman Wang, If it weren't for Chen'er reminding him of this…" Yin Song didn't finish his words but his tone was cold.
Wang Ergou tried to explain, he really didn't expect that there would be intruders in Sword King Villa. Yin Song actually didn't intend to listen to this explanation for too long.
"Brother Fang, if you don't mind can I stay at Bamboo Sword Villa with my wife and daughter?" Yin Song said he could only rest easy if he had Fang An's protection.
Bamboo Sword Villa was also safe from intruders as the only ones living there were Fang An and Xiao Chen.
"Xuexue also definitely wants Chen'er to accompany me, I hope Brother Fang can accept my selfish request…" Yin Song smiled at Xiao Chen, he started to like the boy in front of him.
Fang An looked at Wang Ergou who looked so sullen, feeling that he couldn't refuse the request and finally Fang An escorted Yin Song to Bamboo Sword Villa.
