Chapter 22: 21: CONCEALED III

"You'll kill me." Said Elani as she took the jug and drank like she hasn't drink water for a week. Malaya just gave her a chortle.

"You did well. Shall we go back?" Malaya offered her hands to help her stand up. But as soon as she did, she swiftly jumps through the trees and went back to her house. Elani just looked at her in awe.

"You said we!!" She shouted. She heard a loud laugh echoing in the forest. Elani growled. Damn segnale. She laughed as she realizes that she's adapting to Malaya's language--which can be bad if her parents ever hear her.

The Divine Knights were alarmed by the sudden news Zeus had brought to them. After seeing him leave the conference room, the Knights began to question Rafael about his trip to Livonia as they were very concerned by the portals.

"He's definitely right. We're talking crap about who's going to fill in Ryleia's spot." Wena broke the awkward silence. They must've been embarrassed by themselves to think pathetic Divine Titles at this very moment.

"Anyway, Rafael, if what you're saying is right--that the Leviathans have gone mad, do you think it has anything to do with these portals?"

"As much as I wanted to know, I have no means of even understanding their language, Rohesia. I might ask Malaya to join me in this quest as she has more experiences with Leviathans."

Frendel frowned and cupped his chin with his hands. He must've been in his deep thought as he was staring outside the window.

"We do lack knowledge with these monsters."

Cedrix looked over to Frendel and tried to catch his attention, "I do have a proposal but this plan can only work out with a royal blood."

"This plan of yours must work out. No royal bloods will ever waste their time with just a theoretical plan."

"You're right; but what else can you think of?"

"Then please share us your thoughts, Cedrix." Rafael was being impatient with all the talk he has to hear from the Divine Knights. He thought that after Zeus left the meeting, the meeting must be adjourned, but if it's the Kingdom's safety surely, this meeting should be continued. He heaved a sigh in defeat. This must've been taking his time and the sprouts of portals.

"If we're lucky enough to find a royal blood who will agree, he shall enter the hidden Kingdom of Laeros and meet with the Divine Beasts."

"That is the dumbest suggestion, Cedrix! The Beasts hates nimphians!" Graceel became enraged and stood up and punched the table.

"Yeah."

"I have to agree to Graceel sorry, Ceddie."

Frendel once again massaged his temples.

"Do you have any reason why the royal bloods shall meet with the Divine Beasts?" asked Rafael ignoring Graceel's statement.

"Rafael!"

"Thanks for the interest Rafael. The Divine Beasts must know why these Leviathans have gone mad that they even tried to jump into a ship full of nimps."

"So you're telling us that Zeus was wrong that the portals have something to do with the Leviathans?" Frendel finally spoke with a hint of interest.

"He's not entirely wrong with the portals but if it's with connection with Leviathans then the Divine Beasts must be questioned since the Leviathans are part of the beasts--they control them."

"Wow Ceddie what a conclusion!" Wena went to Cedrix and hugged him from behind.

"Go away!"

"But, who must be the lucky royal blood?"

"Good question Bryce! I don't know." Wena punched Cedrix's head and ran back to her seat. "Wena!"

"Good heavens Wena!"

"Calm down, Rohesia."

"Shall I escort the audience outside of the meeting, Frendel?" Emeryst suggested upon seeing Frendel almost to his peak of patience.

"Will you please? Thank you."

Emeryst stood up and picked up the unwanted audience so that Frendel, Rafael, and Cedrix could continue with their plan. Although Rohesia wanted to listen, Emeryst looked at her and smiled. "I can't?" She pleaded.

"No, love. You can't" He escorted them outside and closed the door.

"Shall we continue?" Rafael suggested.

"If I'm not mistaken, the Kingdom of Laeros is inside the Vally Forest then we must ask the royal family in Winterspring for their permission."

Rafael looked at them and checked if the door is closed enough before he could talk. He leaned forward to them and whispered, "After we left Winterspring, the prime minister took control. So there's no royal blood living in that city." He leaned back to his seat and saw their expressions. There was no news to them about what really happened in Winterspring after the attack since the current government ruling that city asked the people who have a connection with the royal family not to speak a word.

The current duke even told Rafael that chaos will reign if he spills the word to his comrades. Whatever he means by that, that is the reason why Rafael left the city and settled his family in Elist town.

"Although not entirely," he continued. "There is one pure royal blood I know that can help us. But first, I want to ask you Frendel and Cedrix to please not speak a single word. The last thing Ryleia asked was to keep her daughter--"

"What? She had a daughter?!" Frendel covered his eyes in frustration, "He just asked us not to speak a word, Cedrix."

"Sorry,"

"As I was saying, she didn't want anyone to know that she has an heir."

"I kind of agree with her, in order for her to save her daughter, she has to keep her daughter low profile and you're the perfect foster family."

"This is settled then. Rafael, I ask you to bring this royal blood in Laeros to speak with the Divine Beasts. If you need assistance, I can ask Bryce to come with you." Frendel looked over to Rafael and crossed his arms.

"What? But I wanted to come!" demanded Cedrix.

"I believe you are less than fit for this kind of quest, Cedrix. We need someone who can talk respectfully to these beasts as they don't see us as someone they should associate themselves with."

Cedrix groaned in defeat. He suggested this plan but he is not going to see his dream Divine Beasts. He rolled his eyes and sighed.
