Chapter 2: 02 A Beauty Making Idiots
As Aego walked towards the door putting on a eye patch to cover his purple right eye, he also put on a black hooded scarf to cover his some what long ears as he wrapped the scarf around his neck "Sasori we're going to be late." "I know" she looked towards the door to see Aego dressed in a casual white T-shirt,black pants and boots, a completely different person. Feeling a slight pain in her heart as he only started disguising himself for her. He said "He was tired of the contempt stares." but she knew he could careless. The first time she saw him running past her with his fluttering short black hair he took a quick glance and their eye's met for a brief second. Discrimination towards half breeds was intense even after the war to be a slave to a half breed was the lowest anyone could go.
Grabbing her spear Sasori walked past Aego in her pink sundress that fluttered in the wind as the dress was loose, but the loose dress did nothing to hide her slender curves. At a glance anyone with eyes could see she was a beauty the loose dress only mystified her figure. Closing the door after Sasori, Aego began to run behind her. A few minutes after running along a small path they leaped into the forest Aego took the lead. Shortly after entering the forest a bird dropping fell dodging to the side Aego kept running Sasori who was behind didn't miss the falling poop continued following.
After an hour of running Sasori took a glance to the side and in the distance a deer was pooping, turning her head she stared at Aego's back.
Four hours into their trip they took a short break near a pond. Slightly sweating Aego took a glance at Sasori. Sasori looking at Aego turn around saw a slight smile appear on his face as he pointed his finger behind her. Turning around Sasori saw a bear taking a dump, as she looked "Everyone's taking a number two but none compares to yours" Sasori's face blushing red with embarrassment could only reply with " What everyone that bird and bear." Laughing Aego said I saw that deer and even a fox. "Liar there was no fox!" Sasori's face burning redder as she started to stare at Aego. Wasn't there one this morning inside the house? Upon hearing it Sasori's stare turned murderous. Feelinig pressured Aego's laugh turned into an awkward one as he scrambled to think of a way to change the topic. Unable to think of anything he pointed to the side "Look a pooping horse" following Aego's finger she looked in the direction only to see a tree turning back to look at Aego who had already started sprinting away.
A slight smile appeared on her face as she thought about how he never joked before and how she loved this new side. The thought quickly disappeared as she recalled she was angry. Gathering mana into her legs she leaped towards Aego the scenery turned blurry but Aego as her target was crystal clear. Feeling a cold sweat Aego turned around to see Sasori only a few meters behind feeling pressured he gathered mana to his legs and for a second disappeared and reappeared a few meters ahead. Because of the chase the original Fourteen hour trip turned into a nine hour trip. Just as Sasori gave up chasing Aego in the horizon they could see the gates of a town. Still wary Aego kept a distance, upon reaching the main road the two stopped running and started walking. Looking back Aego looked at Sasori who also looked up with a glare. Seeing her glare he couldn't help but extend his hand towards Sasori in an attempt to calm her down. Seeing Aego's intent she quickly grabbed his hand and a big smile appeared on her silly face.
Puzzled "Are you that happy holding hands?" "Mhmm.""Why?" It's the first time holding hands and walking side by side like this. Hearing her response Aego was baffled, he started thinking of the things they have done and haven't done. Slowly walking down the road people started to stare at Sasori. Envious,murderous, and lustful stares followed them some subtle, others didn't bother hiding their intent. Beastkin Fox an exotic breed that nearly went extinct during the war. Because an exotic Beastkin Fox's beauty was unmatched causing a lot of bandits,soilders, and even slave traders to raid Fox villages. The cost of a female Beastkin Fox even beat high quality elves. But now a days to see a Beastkin Fox was a rare sight. By the time they reached the gates the sun started to set, after entering the town most of the streets were beginning to empty as stores closed up. Only drunks and adventures wondered the streets as most residents already went home.
Entering the first Inn they came across the owner shocked beyond stupid upon seeing Sasori started to stutter and mumble causing other customers to look in their direction. Finally after stuttering there was no rooms available with regret in his heart he watched Aego and Sasori leave. Crossing a few streets they found another Inn upon entering another idiot appeared. This one more hopeless than the last after a few seconds of no movement they left. Wondering the street they found another Inn after entering they were greeted by a cheerful thirteen year old beastkin cat. After taking a proper look the catkin noticed the slave mark on Sasori with a human looking Aego next to her. A look of hate appeared in her eyes as she tried to hide it.
Trying to keep a professional attitude she told them there was only a single room left and they would have to share. Upon seeing the catkin giving a customer a cold attitude the owner an adult catkin came over apologizing. Seeing the slave mark and Aego she understood why. Elves with their low birth rate made elf slaves expensive, but with the normal birthrate of Beastkin and their features they became the main force of slaves. So seeing a slave owner made them feel disgusted. She was able to hide it better but Aego and Sasori could tell and understood because they too hated slave owners. After paying the fee they went up to their room.
