Chapter 7: a new appearance
The woman didn't look satisfied with my story as it was too vague like I had something to hide. Her aura bore down on me which wasn't a pleasant experience as she asked
"Why did you do in Mammon City and who are you hiding from?"
Ken immediately answered "Miss Immortal is indeed astute I am hiding from a gang that destroyed my dad's small pub because he didn't pay the monthly protection fee. Dad went missing so I knew they were going to come for me so I took all I had and left the city."
The woman retracted her aura satisfied with the little word that fanned her ego extended he hand and rolled a little pure yang qi pearl toward me.
Sensing the rich qi pearl near my body automatically started to suck the qi out of the pearl. Seeing this the woman became more pleased and started to talk
"I assume you know the profound yin sect" as she took out a small jade token with a lily flower carved onto it "This is a token of recognition, if you take it to the sect in two years you can become an honorary disciple immediately."
She got up and left without saying a word.
I quickly got up to redeem my ticket to get a private room from the public eye now that I had kind of become a celebrity after being escorted to my new room.
I quickly set my bag down and started to look around for unwanted guests including the immortal woman. Seeing that there weren't any unwanted guests I started to become more relaxed but I couldn't just stay ignorant about what just happened.
Ken didn't know what happened to him after he got out of the cave and the more he remembered his actions the more he felt like another man who was ignorant of his surroundings and started to connect the dots to find the changes he was seeing other than the physical transformation.
It didn't take him long to figure out that it was because of his enlightenment that showed him the bright side of the world. Added with his transformation and his loss of cultivation influenced his mind to embrace the new Brightside without thinking too deeply about it.
Ken had one secret that kept him alive in the darkness and that was to be true to himself and not try to sugarcoat the harsh truth he faced and now what he was seeing in front of himself was a pig that was ready to be slaughtered.
Ken understood that many people might live only seeing the bright side of life and he could understand them but it didn't mean he had to he knew the cultivation world was a rough place for this kind of thinking. He wanted to be true to himself and embrace the ideas he had on the dark side but he could examine them with Brightside to improve his worldview.
After solving the most urgent problem Ken wanted to see his transformation outward appearance that made him feel like he was in another man's body and went to the bathroom mirror to look.
Ken was surprised by what saw, he in front of him stood a 6 foot 3 skinny man who looked like a man who couldn't even support himself.
This was a different look from his former body who was 6 foot 2 lean athletic body but the big difference wasn't his height or muscle mass but his new face he was strikingly handsome face with deep violet eyes that looked like they were glowing with his perfect jawline that would any woman he would meet.
In addition to that, the most unique part of his body became his hair which became completely white not blonde or grey but pure white.
Ken was delighted because this would make his stay at the yin-yang sect smoother but he had to watch out for jealous men.
What a narcissist right?
But just looks wasn't enough for someone like him the most important part was his third leg. Checking his new piece and his two family jewels which didn't disappoint him, unlike his previous piece which measured 5 inches his new one almost doubled in size to a thick 9-inch spear.
Ken couldn't ask for more but there were still unsolved problems and changes of plans due to his new encounter.
The first was the most important one and that is his fugitive state. He knew he planned his escape in detail to throw off his scent he prepared many footprints that made it confusing for them to follow and changed names two times but still, he couldn't be more careful.
He wanted to be sure he got away clean so he didn't want to reveal his face to anyone until he got into the yin-yang palace.
The other thing that required his attention was the jade token he received and after thinking awhile he got an idea that could help him get rid of this with a hefty payout.
Seeing that it was getting late he went to sleep like he hadn't slept for two weeks but before he went to bed he put small dried leaves on the floor near the door and the window in addition to putting them around him.
The next morning Ken went to the merchant district and started to look around for specific signs.
What is he looking for you ask he was looking for an auction house but it wasn't just any ordinary auction house but an auction that had branches in every city where cultivators are and it was operated by the Blue Hall Society, a merchant association that is shrouded in mystery because of its perfect record of secure transaction with no cultivator rogue or disciples of big sects dare to cheat.
