Chapter 9: Die 2

"Garw Garw Garw" (You didn't need to go that far, you know?)

"But he almost hurt you," Kene said, dejected.

Sigh

I know that she's a psychopath, but this is too far. The body of the dwarf is beyond recognizable, with his eyes gutted out, an open stomach, and flesh torn apart. She really needs to chill down a bit.

"Dad, you should take this." Noah handed me the hammer and the armor that belonged to the dwarf.

"Garw Garw" (you don't want it?)

"I prefer using a sword, and the armor will just hinder my movement."

"Garw" (I see)

The hammer axe was almost the same size as me, with a gray wooden handle and an iron head with two sides, where one of the sides was a razor-sharp axe and the other a flat surface.

Testing the hammer, I noticed that it was somewhat difficult to use with my current strength, so I added the two stat points that I just earned from leveling up into the strength stat.

Testing it once again, I could feel that it was easier to wield.

I then put on the iron armor, which covered my entire body except my head. Moving around to test my movement It was apparent that my speed had decreased while wearing this armor, but the defense it provided in return would make up for it. However, the left shoulder part of the armor was somewhat damaged by Noah's ice attack.

"And here, sister, this magic staff seems to be better than the one you have right now." He handed the magic staff that the mage was using to Kene.

"Oh! Thanks!" She happily accepted the staff with a big smile as her mood brightened.

The magic staff was 1 meter long, with the handle being some type of brown wood, a bluish orb floating above the handle that had two rings surrounding it, and a small cone on top of it.

A well-made staff created by an average wizard had its handle smoothly polished. The magic orb boosts the power of one spell.

With our new gear and number advantage, we should probably be able to handle the last two guys without any problems.

After looting the two humans, we went toward our next targets.

"What the hell are those two doing for them to be so slow?" Ner annoyed by the fact that those two have still not come back.

Ner and John, who have traveled to the right pathway, have come across the storage room of the goblins. They searched the storage, where they only came to find some rubbish like broken weapons, tools, equipment, or just rotten food that had bugs crawling on it. They also could not find any clues there that could help them find the missing girl.

Finding nothing there, they decided to head back toward the intersection and wait for the other two.

It had already been 20 minutes since they had been waiting.

"Boss, should we check on them? Maybe something." John said, feeling concerned for his comrades.

"What is there to worry about? Goblins? They should be able to easily defeat those horrendous creatures if they come across any," Ner replied.

Although he felt uneasiness at the beginning, after seeing that nothing bad has occurred since they have gone into the cave, he supposes there is nothing to worry about.

"Oh, there they are. What took y'all so long? You better give me a good reason or else..." Ner shouted as he could see two entities moving in the dark from the left pathway.

"Oi, why are you not answering?" Ner was irritated by the zero responses.

"Wait, boss… Were Kerr and Gerit's eyes always red?" John remarks as he feels something is strange.

Hearing what John had said, Ner moved the torch in his hand forward and narrowed his eyes at the entities that were coming closer, step by step.

Ner became puzzled; the two unfamiliar pairs of red eyes staring menacingly at them did not belong to his group members. The two pairs of red eyes were definitely not Gerit and Kerr's, as both have black eyes.

"Who are you?" Ner became wary.

He unsheathed his long sword from the scabbard fixed at his hip. While John aims with his bow, ready to fire at any moment,

"Hehehehehe" Laughter reverberated throughout the cave as one of the entities giggled.

The two entities then revealed themselves to them.

""What?"" Ner and John exclaimed

'A goblin and a... human?' They were in total confusion.

They were bewildered as they saw a young, handsome boy with white hair and red eyes who did not look more than 13 years old beside a goblin.

'No wait… white hair. Doesn't that girl have white hair too?' Ner suddenly recalled the picture of the missing girl shown to them. 'And that facial feature resembles that girl...'

"This bastard is not a human." Ner declared this and pointed his sword at the boy.

"Huh? But that is clearly a human." John was confused. Everything about him shows that he's a human.

"Look with your eyes, idiot. Don't those white hairs resemble someone?" Ner said.

John then remembered the mage girl and became stunned.

"No way. You don't mean..." John's face begins to be a sign of contempt.

"He is a fucking half-monster. That bitch must have been raped and given birth to this disgusting creature." Ner shows disgust toward the boy.

Just like every other person, he had a strong hatred toward the half-monster race and a desire to get rid of these beasts from this world.

He jumped into action and charged at the boy.

"Monsters like you should just perish!" He shouted and swung his sword down toward him.

Clang!!

A loud, resonant metallic sound resounded as the sword struck against the flattened surface of a hammer. The goblin by the boy's side blocked his attack but slid back from the force of the attack.

"Tch." Ner gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"You… that hammer!" John suddenly cried out.

It was at that moment that they finally noticed the armor and hammer the goblin was using.

They have been so concentrated on the boy that they have failed to notice the familiar armor and hammer the goblin is wearing and the fact that the direction in which they came from is the exact direction in which Gerit and Kerr have gone.

"What did you do to Gerit and Kerr?" John yelled, demanding an answer, but he instead got a grin from the goblin.

"You bastard!"

Enraged, he fired an [Wind arrow] toward the goblin. The arrow traveled at an incredible speed as wind mana covered it entirely.

'Shit!' I cursed as I saw the arrow shoot toward me.

Swish~

Titling my head, I narrowly avoided the arrow as it grazed my cheek and continued to travel through the air before hitting the wall of the cave, creating a crack with the arrow at the center of it.

Gulp

'If that hit me in the head, I would have died' I thought as sweat flowed down my forehead.

The archer then gets ready to fire another shot as the swordsman charges once again at them.

"Garw Garw" (We will deal with the swordsman first, and Kene will deal with the archer.) I whispered to Noah.

"Okay, but be careful, Dad, that swordsman is strong," Noah whispered back.

The swordsman leaps into the air as he uses one of his skills, [Sky Drive]. He aimed his long sword downward with his body above the sword, making a vertical line before spinning at a rapid speed and bolting toward us.

Noah knew that if that attack hit us, it would be all over for us. He gripped his sword with both his hands and made a wide swing.

swish~

An arrow was fired by the archer targeting Noah, attempting to disrupt him from countering the attack, but I quickly came in front of him and blocked the arrow with the hammer.

Noah then unleashed an arc of ice mana toward the incoming swordsman. The arc collided with the swordsman's drive attack, resulting in a small explosion.

Boom!

The ice slash was able to successfully stop the swordsman's attack as the swordsman landed on the ground.

"That attack…" The swordsman glanced at his shaking hand. That attack from Noah must have been much stronger than he expected.

Woosh

Just as the archer was about to fire another shot, the fire from the torch placed on the ground suddenly died out. Frost could be seen forming on the surface of the torch.

'Nice job, Kene' I smiled evilly.

The cave became pitch black again as both the swordsman and Archer's vision darkened.

"Fuck! Why did the fire suddenly go out?" The archer began to panic after the fire suddenly died out.

"Stay focused! We still know where they are."

Although the cave had darkened again, they were able to locate us with our pairs of eyes. But they are still at a disadvantage now, as they won't be able to see our movements.

'It's our turn now' I grinned
