Chapter 81: A Simple Spell

"What is it?" Ava said. She was in an extremely good mood after that fiasco with Romeo. "Did you find out anything about— " she stopped talking when she noticed the current atmosphere surrounding Baba and Matthew.

From the thing that Matthew told her, Baba took care of him when he was still a kid. He respects the witch. She frowned. Was it because of her?

"Did something happen?" she asked. Was it another prophecy?

"No. However, I am curious." Baba smiled at her. "What were you doing before we arrived?"

"I was trying to practice…" Ava said. She didn't hide the fact that she used magick but she wasn't planning on telling her how she used it. "It was just a simple spell."

"I felt it," Baba had a gentle smile on her face. Despite this, Ava could feel something else. Though, she wasn't really sure as the woman was currently blocking her attempts to read her emotions.

"Anyway, why did you want to see me?"
