The room was dark when she opened her eyes. "Did I fall asleep?"
She looked around, but didn't see anything, it was to dark. She stood up and felt something squish under her foot. Was the carpet wet? She looked around again, before feeling her way to the light switch. She flipped it on and immediately regretted it. The walls were covered in red, and the ground was slowly filling up with red liquid. She panicked and tried to find the source of it. She followed the direction that the liquid was coming from. Right into Josie's bedroom. The closet was opened and there was a figure standing in front of it. It was noticeably too tall to be Tim or Jonathan. Panicking, she tried to slowly walk out of the room.
As if feeling her in the room, the figure turned around. What she saw made her feel sick. Both of it's eyes were stitched closed with blood dripping from the corner of his eyes instead of tears. It's mouth was stitched into a smile. It looked like different people's body parts were stitched to create this creature. Trembling, she backed away from it as it started to stalk towards her. Slowly, the stitches on it's mouth pulled apart as it's grin widened into that of an insane person.
It launched itself towards her causing her to block with her arms, closing her eyes. After a few minutes of nothing happening she opened her eyes and put her arms down. Nothing. The creature was gone, and so was the blood. She fell to her knees and stared forward, terrified and confused.
"What was that thing?" She asked aloud, looking down.
"What was what?" She jumped at the sudden voice and looked behind her, seeing Josie.
"Nothing. How was school?" She stood up and walked out of the bedroom, Josie following close behind.
"It was fun. I made a friend today too." She smiled widely. "Oh and Tim was looking for you."
"Alright thank you Josie. Did find Mariam?"
Josie nodded. "Yep. I really like the dress you made her."
"i'm glad you like it."
Rose walked around her as she turned around and went back to her room. Rose thought about the figure as she walked into the kitchen where Tim was.
"Hey. How was work?" She smiled as she kissed him.
"It was long. Another person got fired though. They brought in another machine." He said, looking worried.
"That's not good. Maybe you should talk to your boss about that. They've been bringing in a lot more than they should be."
He nodded. "Every time I go in there anymore he's firing someone. I'll wait a bit before doing it."
She smiles. "Thing'll be okay."
"I know. "He smiles.
"I need to talk to you about something after the kids go to sleep."
He looked at her, raising an eyebrow. "Is it bad?"
"I'll tell you later."
He nodded, understanding what she meant by repeating herself. If she didn't think it was good for the kids to hear, then it wasn't good at all.
