Evelyn thought that she might have misheard, otherwise, why would the prince say such words?

"What are you doing?"

"I think there is something wrong with my ears …or I might be having hallucinations."

Regan's lips were pressed in a thin line for a moment when he heard these words. Exactly how much low self-esteem did this girl have?

He wondered suddenly.

Could she not even believe that he could like her?
