Chapter 25: I don't mind
Not able to look at him any longer, Amila tore her gaze away from him and turned to look at the trees.
"Yes, I like feeding the birds and watching them as they eat the seeds." Amila replied without looking at him.
She wondered why the birds had flown away when he arrived, Strange, Amila thought to herself.
"Hmmm." Jason hummed his reply as he stared at her back that was facing him.
She is very shy, He noted.
Jason stood next to her and said.
"I believe that it's rude of me that I haven't introduced myself to you, My name is Jason Drakos, And you, My lady, What is your name?" Jason asked in a polite tone.
Amila turned to look up at him and saw him staring intensely at her and it made her uncomfortable.
"My... My name is Amila Watson." She replied.
"Well, Amila, You don't mind me calling you by your first name?" Jason asked for her permission peering down at her with his dark red eyes.
Amila suddenly found herself unable to look away from these eyes, His dark eyes had a hint of red inside them, She hadn't seen eyes color like this before, They were so beautiful and fascinating.
"Is there something on my face?" She heard him ask.
"No... no, there is nothing, I apologize for staring at you like this." Amila apologized and lowered her head.
Jason took a step closer to her so he could smell the scent of honey that was emitting from her.
"I don't mind." Jason said and watched how the girl's eyes widened at his words and her cheeks turned redder."Are going back to your home?" He asked not to give her the chance to overthink his words.
Amelie, who was still shocked by his words, Replied.
"No, I went out for a walk." She replied leaving the part about her sickness untold, She didn't want him to know, At least not now.
"Then, Can I Join you?" Jason asked in a polite tone offering her a warm smile.
Amila nodded her head as she couldn't speak or form any sentence right now. This man was just too much for her innocent heart.
After walking for a while, Jason asked, breaking the silence between them as the girl beside him was so nervous to even lift her head and look at him.
"Do you always come here?" He asked as they walked towards the other side of the forest, away from the road that leads to the forbidden land.
"Yes, It's a quiet place and not many people come here. It's a great place if you need to stay by yourself." Amila replied.
Jason smiled at her words, She is just like him in that aspect. He, too, feels like he just wants to be alone away from everything.
"It's quite a beautiful place." He commented looking around them.
"So you came here for business?" It was her turn to ask him.
Nodding his head, Jason replied.
"Yes, It's the last time I'm coming here before I travel to the next town, It will take a while before I come back here."
