Chapter 360: A Voice and A Box

Baker hit his knees as it felt like someone jabbed a hard spike into the center of his forehead right where his third eye was. Corland turned and Baker hissed a bit in agony, blood came from his right nostril. In that moment Baker could not keep the barriers he'd been learning to keep in his mind up. The crashed down and that buzz from before became a voice. 

'Carter, do you hear me now? I feel your third eye open. Hear me this time. Please don't leave me again, we will die,' this voice was in his head. Sounded male, and Baker had never, never heard this voice before. However it knew his first name. How did it know his first name? What was this voice? It sounded desperate. It was also not fully a voice, but a sense of words as well.

"Fuck," Baker breathed out to stand. There was no real control on how he turned to go farther into the room. He stumbled a bit, there was just this hard pull. It felt like a yes in his head as he did so.
