Chapter 63: Practice Match (1)
It took five days for his heat to calm down.
After doing some research, it might have been due to frequent contact with other Alphas which in turn accelerated his heat cycle.
Recurrence dreams about those activities were also triggered by the heat.
Since Wei Chen was a Dominant Alpha and the closest person to him, he inexplicably thought of him during his delirious state.
Fu Yue admitted that he felt a huge sense of relief after figuring this out.
Fortunately, it was more like an instinctive reaction than an emotional sentiment.
Nonetheless, he had to say that getting through this period was not an easy task.
No wonder, most Omegas looked for a partner to help them get through the heat.
As for how their partner was going to help them... Fu Yue refused to comment on this matter for he had already gone through some unspeakable videos which was enough for him to no longer be as naive as he was in the past.
He would never look at Caesar's marking in the same way ever again...
Anyway, during his isolation, every TM player had already arrived at the base. Except for Yang Yuxuan, no one was allowed to come to the second floor and Wei Chen's tasks were naturally transferred to him.
However, Wei Chen still sent him text messages from time to time to confirm that he hadn't passed out from the fever.
There was one time when Fu Yue accidentally dozed off and didn't get to read his message. Not long after, Yang Yuxuan came knocking on his door due to Wei Chen's urging.
Fu Yue felt a bit helpless at his Captain's over-the-top reaction. To make things worse, he was forced to meet Yang Yuxuan's meaningful eyes every day after this incident.
Fortunately, he recovered right as the match schedule was released.
Each season was broken into two splits, spring and summer. Each split had a nine-week regular season followed by a three-week playoff bracket.
Each team faced one another twice and they then ranked according to their win percentage.
SZ as the World Champion won't be playing for the first two weeks.
Therefore, the highlight of the opening season was inevitably centered around TM, YL, and IB.
TM had a match on Tuesday and another on Saturday.
Highlight matches were scheduled on the weekends. After the schedule came out, it caused a big sensation on the internet.

Fu Yue amusedly raised an eyebrow at this arrangement.
Thunder Birds was not a big organization but it was Xieyu's new team.
Seemed like the organizers wanted to take advantage of his controversy and cause drama to attract traffic.
Li Haoran couldn't help but scold the committees, "Wow, they dare let Si-ge face Xieyu from the get-go?"
Listening to his displeasure tone, Fu Yue laughed, "What? You don't have confidence in your Si-ge?"
Seeing his unbothered attitude, the timid Zhao Fu looked at him in admiration, "You don't know how to be afraid, huh?"
Fu Yue shrugged, "I have such great teammates, why should I?"
"Awww~ Si-ge, I love y-"
Li Haoran who was about to give Fu Yue a big hug abruptly paused when his eyes accidentally met his Captain's silent gaze mid-air.
Inexplicably feeling that he shouldn't do what he was about to do, Li Haoran smoothly changed his gestures into a high-five and said with a stiff smile, "... I almost want your family to adopt me."
Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, Fu Yue gave him a high-five with a light smile, "Hey, your parents will be sad if they were to hear this. Right, do the shoes fit?"
On this topic, Li Haoran worriedly asked, "I haven't tried them on yet... Are you sure it is okay for us to receive them? They are like super duper expensive though..."
Li Haoran came from a middle-class family so he never owned any big brand items. That's why, he was scared shitless when he found out the price of the shoes that Fu Yue gifted him.
Not to mention, he was not the only one receiving them. Yang Yuxuan got a long coat while Zhao Fu, a set of sportswear from the same brand.
With Yang Yuxuan's keen eye, they were told that these were not knockoffs and were all limited editions.
Li Haoran felt a bit pressured to accept the gift and he didn't even dare touch them without washing his hands several times beforehand.
Seeing his tangled look, Fu Yue patted his shoulder and consoled, "Don't worry. This will just help increase my Dad's sales."
"Oh, is that s-" Li Haoran harshly stepped on the brake the moment he realized something was gravely wrong with his word.
"Wait, your Dad owns this Brand???"
Fu Yue hummed in agreement to which Li Haoran looked at him in horror.
Yang Yuxuan sneered at his foolish ADC, "Isn't it obvious? His surname is Fu, he is rich and his looks take after Mr. An so much."
"You knew?!"
Yang Yuxuan didn't reply but his silence had already spoken for itself.
Witnessing this, Li Haoran felt that he was stupid but after turning around to see Zhao Fu's stupefied face he suddenly felt a bit better.
After settling down the initial shock, Li Haoran proceeded to ask his Captain, "What about you, Captain?"
Wei Chen offhandedly replied, "I met them during the Chinese New Year."
The three were rather dumbfounded at his statement. Li Haoran was about to say something when he suddenly got elbowed by his Support.
Yang Yuxuan gestured for him to shut up and glossed over the topic, "Okay, let's not talk about this anymore. We have a training in the afternoon with HL, let's strategize."
Fu Yue instantly became excited at the mere mention of this matter.
Before the official match, Coach He scheduled a practice match with HL from the Europe division.
This team was the black horse who emerged in the Quarterfinal stage a while ago.
Even though there was no meaning in winning or losing, this was the first time he was going to play against a professional team.
Wei Chen could perceive his excitement and he, too was infected by his mood, "Want to try Sen?"
Fu Yue nodded, "Let's try not to win too early."
Hearing his voice brimming with confidence, Wei Chen raised his brow, "So confident?"
Fu Yue shot him a look, "Don't tell me, you are not?"
The corner of Wei Chen's lips curved and said in a matter-of-fact tone, "With you, it is not possible."
Fu Yue was once again being caught off guard by his Captain. He hurriedly averted his eyes and switched the topic, "I heard their Jungler is quite strong."
Nodding his head, Wei Chen went along with him, "He has been playing for 7 years already." After a short pause, he added, "It is likely that he is going to invade my Jungle."
Instead of being worried, Fu Yue evilly chuckled, "I hope he won't regret it later on."
The number one Jungler Silence humbly said, "I will be in your care then."
"Did... I miss something?"
Li Haoran lowered his voice to ask his two other teammates.
Otherwise... Why does he feel that he is being stuffed with dog food and those two are being surrounded by pink bubbles???
And Captain... Your persona is collapsing?! Isn't this a doting boyfriend look???
In the meantime, Yang Yuxuan looked at him in disapproval, "How can you not notice that those two are hitting off so well with each other?"
With these hinting words, Li Haoran covered his mouth in shock, "Seriously?!"
"What are you two on about?"
Zhao Fu who couldn't follow these two's conversation confusingly spoke up.
Both Yang Yuxuan and Li Haoran shifted their gaze to look at him in speechlessness.
It was unbelievable how the oldest person here turned out to be the most naive person.
Li Haoran spoke in disbelief, "... There is a reason why you are a Solo Laner after all." He then proceeded to pat his back, "But don't worry Old ge. This is a part that I like about you."

The Assistant Coach gave the five players the prepared accounts with garbled names. Both sides signed a confidential agreement and these matches wouldn't be leaked to outsiders.
They also wouldn't disclose who the players were by using newly made accounts. Therefore, it was not sure whether they were starting players or substitutes that they wanted to train.
Unlike TM's causal attitude, HL took these matches seriously.
HL was a rookie team and managed to step onto the international stage for the first time last year.
In contrast, TM was an established team from one of the major regions and had a lot of achievements, especially the legendary Silence.
Greg who was a fellow Jungler was the most earnest person at the moment. Facing Silence, if he couldn't hold his ground, there was no way they could win this match.
Brandy, HL's Supported comforted, "Don't worry. As long as we interfere with Silence's development, it will be fine. Their ADC is still a newbie so he won't pose much threat. Top Laner mostly played meatshield, just ignore him and go for the backline."
Greg hummed in agreement. Soon after, every player was present and the match started.
HL was randomly assigned to the blue side which was a good sign. Without much thought, they banned Silence's signature heroes three times in a row and first picked a Jungler, Li.
TM didn't take too long to lock in a Bot Duo, Lay, and Ilay.
HL immediately responded with Yulu and Mary. Just as they thought that TM would pick a Jungler as the third pick, Knight was suddenly locked in and the first banning phase ended just like that.
Greg was a bit confused. TM should have already known that they would continue to target Silence, why are they picking a Jungler in the second phase?
It came as no surprise that HL banned another two strong Junglers which left Silence's options limited.
Finally, TM locked in a tool-man Jungler and HL chose a strong mage, Weiyi before last locking Black Knight as a counter pick for Knight.
Almost instantly, TM locked in their last pick which caused HL to be stunned.
Starfish, HL's Mid Laner was puzzled, "TM last picked Sen? Against Weiyi? What are they thinking?"
