Synopsis

That's where Sloane Delaney comes in. For Avery, Sloane’s scars don’t matter much. When Sloane pops the marriage proposal at the perfect time, Avery sees it as a chance to start fresh.
At first, their marriage seems like a practical solution, with both guys looking for an escape. But as Avery starts to genuinely care for the quiet and gentle Sloane, their simple arrangement gets way more complicated.
Loving Sloane isn’t a walk in the park. He’s haunted by betrayal and wrestling with his past, while also on a quest for revenge. His moods swing wildly—sometimes he’s warm and inviting, other times he’s icy and distant. This rollercoaster leaves Avery feeling lost, but he’s determined to get through to Sloane, even if it might cost him everything.
As they deal with revenge schemes, hidden family secrets, a dangerous ex, and cutthroat business rivals, Avery and Sloane try to navigate their rocky journey together. Can they find comfort and healing in their unexpected love, or will Avery’s feelings stay one-sided as Sloane battles the darkness that threatens to swallow him whole?

there are not enough word... it's beautiful, you just have to get past the first 2 chapters and next thing you know you're knee deep and leaning in closer wanting to know what happens next... it's a kidnapping but I willingly walked into the white van but now I'm all caught up and I wish there was more

It was good at first, but loses depth somewhere before ch 70, I’m not sure when it began, I just know it felt more like a story board full of cliches than a proper story and I’m regretting the bulk purchase of chapters. I liked the original premise, but I won’t continue.
I recommend this book if you want a good heartfull read about learning to selflove, revenge and possession of another body. The main characters are fleshed out and different to the side characters and you can really feel their emotions and perspective. Good writing author! Give this book a try 💖
